With the same promoters, managers, and networks... of course they reach verbal agreements all the time. But that is also why all kind of fights get cancelled within a week of their announcement. Because the announcement was premature.

Fighters negotiating with different promoters, managers, and networks... it never ever works like that. Maybe in the fantasy world some live in they wish it worked like that. But it doesn't. Certainly not when all parties have publicly expressed disdain over each other for years and there is a history of examples to look at between all the parties and how their relationships have been.

I said it earlier this month. After the holidays are over and they continue with the negotiations, I don't care who it was, but I said the first person to starting jawing off to the media about what's going on between the talks is going to look very suspect to me. Why? Because they started out keeping it quiet which was working out for the best.

Well as soon as Arum started saying, "we agreed to everything and have signed the contract," I was immediately questioning that. Because......

1. He's said that before only for it to turn out to be complete B.S.

2. Why start talking to the media about it all of a sudden when they've all kept quiet. What real purpose was that suppose to serve? If things were going so well why do anything to mess it up.

And as soon as we started hearing them give deadlines, I knew Arum was pulling the same tricks he's been doing since 2009. He's so transparent it's laughable.
