And yet so many in ESB were asking....

What's going on? Why haven't we heard anything? Manny said something so why doesn't Mayweather say something?

Where as I've been saying we don't need to hear anything because it's better to handle this behind closed doors and the reason above was exactly what I was eluding to. :patsch

From what I've seen from other articles SHO/HBO still don't have an agreement with each other for viewing rights to the fight. Until that happens nothing else really matters, it's still early it's best to let the whole process playout.

Why ANYONE would listen to Bob Arum at this point is beyond me. He is a snake and has done more to stop big fights the last 8 years than anyone. He is a cancer for the sport.

I'm starting to think the whole thing was a hoax from the get go, both sides... May 2 was never going to be... More like late this year, just to whet the appetites. MI'm probably being re****ed, but some of this makes no sense.

These guys are morons though because both of them are ripe to be beaten by an undeserving fighter in the vein of Madaina Floyd I. Could have wound up being a bad decision, Floyd never gained any momentum in the fight and left a lot of rounds in the air. Pac could get caught by someone like Khan. Floyd could get sparked out by Cotto if the planets are in alignment or he could be cut badly.

They should fight now or we are going to have a case like Gamboa Lopez, but a thousand times more harmful to boxing. Both are at the end of the rope and they need to cash out on each other unless the fix is in for both of their next fights. The whole thing is so stupid. Cash out now.

Honest question here. Please try to answer and not derail the thread.... I always try to watch Elle Sechback, Fighthype, Seconds out and whatever other boxing reporters are on youtube and a lot of the times when reporters ask fighters & trainers (not promoters, fans, media ****ysts) who they enjoy watching it almost seems rare for them to say pacquiao. Am I off base here or has anyone else noticed the trend. If someone could upload current footage of a boxer or trainer saying they like pacquiao please upload it here.

I'm starting to sense jealousy or hate within the boxing world for manny P.

I couldn't agree more. I think this is the vein of thought fat Dan was alluding too earlier in that there was too much talk, and the whole thing being a hoax to benefit both fighters for a later date. I'm probably wrong but it's just a feeling I get. I hope I'm wrong.

A lot of those fighters are in rival gyms when they are being interviewed. Also a lot of them don't know Manny personally. When they talk to guys who actually know Manny, and aren't afraid to speak their minds, guys like Mosely, Morales, JMM, they all say Manny is a good guy. As far as being a fan, I've Seen Tyson, Hagler, Foreman, Holyfield and many other legends all say they are fans of the guy.

you touched on sechback. i think sechback got his break in his career when roach let him film in the gym and obviously pac was his star at the time. they had a fallout and now sechback shows clear bias against manny in interviews

as for everyone else? it would be hard not to love someone who really helped put boxing on the map for over a decade ?

I find it hard to understand why anyone would dislike Manny

And that's from a huge Floyd fan (the boxer Floyd that is) and JMM fan

Elie Seckback is probably the biggest idiot associated with Boxing. How he still is even mentioned on a regular basis blows my mind. Literally hasn't a clue about Boxing or any sport for that matter

I don't consider tyson, hagler, foreman, holyfield or any of those guys INNER BOXING circles because they don't fight or train. They are outsiders at this point.

I've hear people say everyone under the sun. GGG, JCC JR, Floyd, JMM, and a few others but people don't say these things about manny.

I think there's jealousy or hating going on.

sechback defintely hates roach & manny but he's pretty unbiased as far as who he interviews. He will ask any and everyone "who are some of your favorite fighters today"

and I cant recall of anyone saying pacquiao. Again I don't watch EVERY SINGLE Sechback video so I could have missed a few. The ones I've seen it's rare that anyone says manny is amongst their favorites.
