These are my thoughts and beliefs as well. Great post, though I hope we are both wrong and this weekend we find out we were.

And Arum said Pacquiao would fight the winner of Cotto-Martinez. Remember that?

Highest paid athlete in the world and he still managed to nearly go broke? Bernard Hopkins should sit this dumb mother****er down and teach him how basic math and finances work.

I seriously doubt Floyd is ever likely to be broke. His cars and watches are enough for 10 people to retire on.

    Williams (southpaw, tall, volume puncher)
    Martinez (southpaw, power, counterpuncher)
    Lara (southpaw, power, counterpuncher)
    Andrade (southpaw)
    Spadafora (southpaw)
    Casamayor (southpaw, counterpuncher)
    Tszyu
    Freitas
    Prime Mosley
    Khan
    Bradley

That's all I can think of. Besides Pacquiao, but he's only like the fastest/most awkward/best fighter of this generation so that's not a big deal or anything.

In fact, according to the list it looks like the 'best pure boxer' of the generation is afraid to face fast southpaws and would prefer to face slow orthodox brawlers. I wonder if that's why he looks like such a good boxer....

Khan- was looking very good til he lost to Garcia and at the time was at 140
Pac- blame is tk both sides anyone who says its just floyds or pacs fault is a fanboy
Alexander- moved up to WW after losing to Bradley and didnt do mjch then. yes he beat Maidana but that was his first fight at 147 and Pre garcia Maidana
Williams- other than popularity and the loss to Quintana it couldve been a good fight
Bradley-Moved up to WW after signing with Arum
    Prime Mosley- Mosley ducked Floyd

Precious metal watches (gold, platinum, etc.) take a huge hit on resell value as do the cars Mayweather buys. Yes, while he could sell all of them he is losing a huge percentage of the initial cost. He would be better off buying 60's and 70's muscle cars as those actually appreciate (depending on the economy at the time) rather than depreciate.

I hear you and I understand what you're saying. But I believe it's also the TIME they fought.

For example, he didn't fight Maidana after his losses to Khan and Alexander. Maidana was on a hot streak at welter. Alexander, and I don't remember the exact time, lost to Porter around the time of negotiation (2013-early 2014). Khan was like 2-2, 2 poor victories and a KO loss. Since then, Khan has redeemed himself, Alexander has not. Which is why, in my personal opinion (poll be damned), Khan was not a worthy opponent in 2014 but is definitely worthy now. But I agree, if he makes a poll, he should honor it.

I don't remember the Williams situation much to be honest so I dont' speak on that too much. Bradley is definitely worthy, I didn't say he wasn't, and I would actually love to see that fight. I don't expect it to happen because of politics though. Lara, I was wrong, he's definitely a good opponent for Floyd.

i dont think mayweather is afraid of fast fighter he may prefer brawler types though but fans seem to want to see it, people prefered seeing him fight maidana than khan, gurrero over alexander canelo over lara

khan likes them type of fighters and alexander is quick definetly was at 140.
mayweather against pacquio khan martinez lara andrade or them guys from the past that someone mentioned frietas etc would be more interesting to me. he normally has the reach and speed advantage in all his recent match ups.

I said cars and watches as they tend to hold value (ish). The Veyron and Enzo have a chance of making him money.

Rolex / Patek / AP etc hold their value relatively well.
