It's in Tim Smith's blood to cheat and lie for the benefit of his kind.

I don't know about this Tim Smith guy and you make some good arguments against him. I tend to look at this situation from a common sense point of view. Sports, in general, has been tainted by so many cheats doing unbelievable feats that to not consider it happens at the elite levels in boxing is ignorant.

Something is definitely not right about how the Pac camp reacted. Call it bad PR. Call it excuses. Hard to believe though that Floyd knew he could duck Pac by demanding a drug test amateur atheletes take with a smaller time window. Three days is more than enough time to recover from tests as Roach, Pac's trainer, confided on the Jim Rome show, a program which has more credibility than a Pac-biased Phillipine boxing web site.

You are answering the wrong question anyway. I have never heard one solid medical reason why it is bad to take a blood test 3, 5, 14 days before a fight. If there is no medical reason why then take the damn test already.

He's not afraid of needles. That was quickly dismissed when people smirked and asked about the tattoos. Hard to keep pace with all the stories I know. Save yourself the agony, it's easier to say Floyd is ducking Pac.

Not true. Mayweather's request is not unprecedented. Tyson made a similar request before the Holyfield rematch.

    Here's one:

    Author: Ronnie Nathanielsz
    Article Title:
    This content is protected

    Date: Jan 7, 2010
    Site: The Scene of Boxing

Schaefer, Hayman and others tried to get Floyd to sign the contract. He wouldn't do it, even with "medical experts" telling him the 24-day cut-off date for testing was good.

He never wanted it, never wanted the bout. The guy turned down the fight, supposedly, because of 10 days (24 to 14) of possible testing which experts told him weren't important.

There are other sources out there to confirm this information, about the doctors/"medical experts" and the negotiations.

Again, Tim Smith knows all of this. Or he should. He's lying, and he's doing so in an attempt to fulfill his Joy Boy agenda. The loser is the fan, and that's why Timmy is getting taken to the woodshed in this thread.

Floyd Mayweather is allowed to be a coward as regards Pacquiao and he is allowed to try to cast unfounded speculation on a fighter whom has never tested positive for any banned substance. Tim Smith is allowed to like a guy who uses Xylocaine, Lidocaine, Novacaine or whatever it was Floyd said he used for his hands. That's cool, whatever excuses one needs to avoid a fight or to try to feel like "your guy" really wanted a bout he never wanted. All good.

What Smith is not allowed to do, however, is just make stuff up or present secondhand, non-credible information as fact. He did it with the nonexistent "dirty test" emails and now he's doing it with the "Manny wouldn't take the tests" line.

That's bunk, and the boxing public needs to know it's bunk.

If anyone wouldn't agree to the testing, it was Floyd. Even though his team and the "medical experts" told him Pac's time-frame was sufficient, he wouldn't do it.

Now remember: This is the same Victor Conte whom Andre Ward is working with.

That's a concern, big red flags. If I were Ward's future opponents, I would be asking questions about this.

Conte has supplied known cheaters. If Manny Pacquiao were working with Victor Conte, like Shane Mosley did, I would be a lot more skeptical about what Pac Man has done.

    What "medical experts"?

Again I ask for a credible source for this information.

Nathanielsz does not name exactly which "medical experts" are advising Floyd. Therefore, Nathanielsz is full of ****.

Sorry, "Nay Sayer." You asked for corroboration, you got it. If that isn't enough for you or you want names, you'll have to take it up with Nathanielsz or go do your own research.

You wanted it, you got it. Deal with it. You and the Pharaoh.

    And there's more:

    http://philboxing.com/news/story-32350.html

Now, if you want to say that 4 different organizations/entities are lying about doctors/"medical experts" advising Floyd that the 24-day testing cut-off date was sufficient, that's up to you. But that's the difference between what Nathanielsz is saying and what Tim Smith did with the "dirty test" emails: Nathanielsz has backup; Smith had none, which is why he chickened-out of the Pacquiao-Clottey NYC press conference and why he won't mention the don't-exist emails anymore.

There was, in my opinion, a very good reason why certain parties tried to keep the mediation/negotiation details out of the press once info from them started to leak. It's not too difficult to put the pieces together if you understand what apparently happened here.
