because in a fight this big theres a bunch of stuff we dont know behind the scenes.

Koncz said there never was a contract, so while you made a bunch of threads saying Floyd should sign the contract, there isnt one!!

HBO just said that there waiting on Showtime, so there you go for another reason it hasnt happened yet

Am I the only one who thinks that everyone involved, with the exception of Showtime, really don't want to make the fight at this point? It seems like each side is more interested in winning the PR battle over the fight not getting made, rather than actually getting a deal done.

I think it's a risky strategy for both camps, as either fighter could conceivably lose in the interim before a potential 2016 fight. I'm starting to believe HBO knows Mayweather will fight beyond a potential 49-0, and really aren't in the mood to genuinely help a business rival. Bob can take Manny to Macau and still generate some profit, and the Mayweather fight can still take place next year.

I know it's a complicated situation, but it shouldn't be that hard to make a fight happen.

Intersting article on bn24 saying showtime is the one stalling because, and his math sort of adds up, that in comparison to HBO, showtime is holding it up because they won't make as much money due to the contract they have with mayweather, and past losses, and stand to only make 16.5 million from this fight, unlike HBO who is partnered with time warner a cable outlet. I'm not knowledgeable enough in these innEr workings... But I still don't buy this take either. Might be a partial truth at best though.

 

**** showtime! I think they would rather floyd fight someone else and floyd would happily obliged. Floyd got the perfect partner to get out of this.
