They were trying to justify it.

Now, all that **** they talked about Pacquaio is going to explode in their faces, when Pacquaio puts a beating of a lifetime on Mayweather.

Apparently, this is going to surprise a WHOLE hell of a lot of people.

I can't wait. Mayweather isn't a Bradley or Rios type warrior.

Mayweather is a guy that looks at the ref and complains when his opponent is throwing legal punches.

This is going to be pure redemption for Pac fans.

It's a shame that Mayweather fanatics missed such a great fighter as Pac who is easily one of the greatest of all time.

fight is expected to generate 3+ million PPVs, 50/50 = 1.5mm+...

this is better than several of Floyd's past fights, so...

everyone wins. They don't need to make 2+ million in PPVs each to win. Also, they really need to factor in long term benefits of making the richest boxing fight in history - more fans into the sport. This is a win for both networks when it comes to future PPV potential. Boxing has lost many fans over the years de to their inability to produce the best fights. This is partly to blame for both Floyd's and Manny's PPVs coming down in last few fights. Showtime needs to look at the bigger picture here.

Mayweather Canelo did 2.4 buys, only one network and one fighter commanded a large purse. Pretty much all in house. The fight would have to do well over 3 mil buys and cost more than $75, I doubt they pull both. Then it's split down the middle. You said 125 if split, didn't Mayweather Canelo do 165?
