Wow, really? Sounds like you don't love boxing too much. Who'd want something like that to happen? I want this fight to be as close as possible so we can get a rematch. There's nothing much to see in boxing these days and when they're both gone, the sport will be amiss of exciting matches.

Did you even read what you quoted?

"I'm just anti-hype and pro-boxing (as in, the 99% of the sport that gets less than 1% of the attention this pair gets)"

"There is so much to boxing outside this stupid played out rivalry and yet people act like it has been the only thing worth discussing for 7 years."

You actually make a very good point. As Bradley said, many people think Pacquiao isn't defensive, but he is very defensive with his feet. That in and out footwork, meaning the ability to close a distance quickly then get out of range before he gets hit...that's his defense and Bradley said that was one of the hardest things to deal with when it come to fighting Pacquiao. Then his ability to slip out in all sorts of angles. Bradley called him, "The master of angles."

It's also exactly what they said in the Rios fight when Pacquiao was hitting Rios and slipping out of the way before Rios could get a punch off. Pacquiao hits you and you can't hit him.

Unless of course your name is Marquez who throws with Pacquiao.

Really? I thought Pacquiao looked quite youthful against Algieri. It was nice to see 6 KD and more display of power...I haven't seen a destruction of a Pacquiao opponent like that since Cotto. It has been sorely missed even if Algieri didn't belong in there.

I thought Mayweather looked kinda old and sluggish against Maidana, but he looked freaking prime against Canelo. Amazingly prime. One of my favorite performances of him. Floyd was bouncing around, fresh, sharp, all of the above in that fight.

Pacquaio is also an undersized southpaw fighter. That makes his accomplishments even more special than they already are.

It's very difficult to fight a larger guy with an opposing stance.

Pacquaio is also an offensive minded fighter. He uses an aggressive defense.

The best pound for pound fighters of all time all utilized an aggressive defense, from Henry Armstrong, to Ray Robinson, to Dempsey, to Tyson, and now Pacquaio.

Pacquaio is going to whup Mayweather's ass, and I can't wait to see it.

undersized, he was bigger than DLH when they fought .. he learned from the Torrecampo fight, in which he cheated on the scales, against the smaller fighter and got KTFO ... lesson learned from Torrecampo fight --- DRAIN EM!

You know.. you say really blunt statements like "Pacquiao is going to whoop his a**" and so on so forth....but...even though you're extremely confident the way some trolls/ignorant fans are, you back it up with good points and evidence.

Most people will just say, "Floyd is going to destroy and knock him out," or, "Manny is going to destroy and knock him out." And that'll be it.

But you will support your statement with valid stylistical breakdowns. Since you do that, I have 0 problem with your confidence in Pacquiao. Continue on, sir!

It's called pseudo-intellectualism. The gift of bluster. Making it sound like you know what you're talking about when you don't.

Manny has a defensive strategy with every punch he throws; he steps in, throws, moves his head out of the way (usually ducks punches) and steps out or to the side. It's like trying to hit a moving target. There is a funny video of Rios talking about how fast Manny was and how he was always on the move, hard to time.

JMM has fought Pacquiao many times so he has picked up on Pacquiao's tendencies. The KO in the 6th round came from Manny faking and JMM reading what he was going to do. JMM knew that Manny liked to fake a punch, wait for JMM to counter and then counter himself. If you look closely at that KO punch, Manny faked, JMM didn't fall for it and then timed Pacqiao perfectly knowing Pacquiao was most likely going to step in after the fake... boom.. he caught him. Pacquiao got reckless and his forward movement only increased the force of the blow, it was just perfect timing. Both fighters know each other well and beat each other up every time...

Mayweather won't have that experience fighting Manny so it will be new to him, same for Pacquiao obviously. Back to my point - Pacquiao has good defense due to his movement, he won't be a stationary target for Mayweather; Floyd will find it harder to connect.
