    1. No I'm not. Another poster brought up the Oscar fight and didn't seem to understand why Floyd couldn't make demands in that fight. I made it clear to him that Floyd wasn't in the driver seat and couldn't make demands at all or the fight wouldn't have happened. I never said Pacquiao had to take Floyd's demands, but Floyd IS the bigger draw.

    2. Pacquiao did 700k against Clottey post-Oscar. Prior to Oscar, Pacquiao never did that much. I'm not sure what you're trying to say by this. Both Floyd and Pacquiao gained in popularity by fighting Oscar. What's the issue?

    3. "The economy did it". That's a nice thing to say, since we can't demonstrate proofs here of what impact it had on the sales.

    4. Plausibly slightly? Take a look at this thread and try again: http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=229511

Yawn. Floyd outsold them. Legacy/resume talk doesn't enter negotiations. Numbers do. You don't have to like that, it's just a fact.

Floyd outsold Pacquiao against De La Hoya and Hatton both, who were both more well known themselves after facing Floyd.

It's unclear why you're blaming Floyd for Pacquiao/Top Rank not promoting themselves. That's not an argument you can use against Floyd or for Pacquiao.

he just isnt as dumb as odlh and cotto to drain himself to make a weight and risk getting his ass whooped because of it!!!

like i said JMM couldve backed out then!!! He obviously had no problem with facing the larger mayweather cuz he thought he was going to be faster

doesn't matter 3 knock downs and the fight ends in a draw equals a loss for u...imagine how bad u would have to get ur ass whooped for 11 rds, after being up by 3rds after the 1st rd, and the fight still ending in a draw

and 1 knock down and the fight could go either way equals a loss for you

Again, please do not use the springboard of Floyd's bargaining clout with Oscar to compare in any way, shape or form with Manny's current position with Floyd. Even with an extra chromosome one can see your "That's just how it is" doesn't apply in this instance. Secondly, thank you for proving my point of Pac's precipitous rise in popularity since the De La Hoya fight, thus rendering all previous "common opponents" analogies as heavily flawed. Numbers against similar opponents -- i.e Mosley/Cotto bear close enough resemblance that it's a fairly moot point.

    1. Obviously Clottey sold "some".

    2. More. Go find the actual numbers and get a calculator to help with the subtraction.

    1. Floyd DIDN'T have clout against Oscar. That point isn't debatable. Even Floyd recognized it, which is why he accepted all of Oscar's conditions. That shouldn't irk you.

    2. Floyd also gained in popularity post-Oscar. They both did. Floyd's the bigger star in objective terms (numbers). That's just not debatable.

pac had his chance..he shoulda taken the 14 days when he had the chance...he chose to go make 6million fighting clottey..he blew that 6 million plus more on a campaign and reality has set in..he has to accept floyds terms or there will not be a fight.....period.
