Here's some simple logic for you: If Manny Pacquiao can do 1.2 million pay per view buys in AMERICA against an opponent similar to Floyd's 1.4 million with Mosley, which was touted as the "most promoted fight of all time" , do you really think Floyd would do similar numbers to Manny Pacquiao in his own country? Get real.

actually i think floyd believes pac's style is easy to figure out...:deal i wouldnt be surprised if floyd put his money where his mouth is and bet on himself..

i bet if he bet on himself u would still find a way to figure he's scared..

u keep tellin urself that vitor..whatever makes u feel good..lmfao..he scared..

if ur saying floyd is "physically" scared of the confrontation that pac brings than ur a dummy..THIS IS A SPORT..I DOUBT EITHER FIGHTER IS "SCARED" OF EACH OTHER...:deal

FLOYD SHOULD KNOCK MANNY LATE OR WIN A SEMI COMPETITIVE UD 117-111

Oh man this **** gets comical. As if Floyd was going to sit across a table from De La Hoya and dictate terms. Some people don't know how a negotiation works.

    told u u were remedial

that had nothing to do with his bank account and everything to do with how value fluctuates over time

a few months ago the 14 day cut off was consistent with floyds negotiating power at the time coming off of a win over the smaller JMM and Pacs impressive win over the larger (but not larger) Cotto

now post pacs unimpressive win over a large welter Clottey and Floyds way more dominating win over a much closer and dangerous opponent in Shane Floyds power has inflated....

what was ok a few months ago aint ok now especially after the last person he fought who is considered far more dangerous than pac accepted the random test all the way up until fight night....grant it that didnt happen but the possibility of getting tested an hour before the fight still loomed!!

so pac fans should be more angry at mosley for going behind pac and adding fuel to mayweathers negotiating fire by accepting the random testing up until fight night!!

what would negotiations be like if floyd fought shane agreeing too a 24 day cut off for shane....It would be in pacs favor right!!

Isn't it obvious? Floyd would only bet on himself because money is the only thing he cares about, so he did it to try to convince himself he couldn't lose because he knows in his heart Manny is the superior warlord.

Hey exaggerating is fun! I like using words like "clearly", and "period", too! It makes my counter-argument all the more succint!
Listen, the fact Floyd Mayweather was supposedly willing to agree to a 50-50 split not 5 months ago tells me things aren't as cut and dry in drawing power as you yourself would like to believe. And what has changed since then to warrant Floyd's new "I call the shots attitude?" Certainly not the Mosley fight, which was touted as the most heavily promoted of all time, with most on this board expecting 2 million PPVs or higher?

Please, the irony in this quote is astounding. I stopped reading after that because, as is clearly evidenced, you're not a fan of boxing and would rather support one side holding out and making no concessions on a fight the rest of boxing world would like to see.

Floyd vs. Mosley is the second-highest selling non-heavyweight fight. Guess who got first.

Pre-Mosley Floyd was fine with 50/50. Now he's putting forth 55/45 which I don't believe he even wants. He'll draw down to 50/50 to get Pacquiao to agree to the drug testing, which is what he's actually after and has been from day one.

i wouldnt be surprised if no one in that poor ass country buys fights.....I saw a group of guys on some news site, photographed in the philipines watching the mayweather mosley fight on 8 screens in a damn television store...

im sure thats how they watch pacs fights....the whole village huddles around 1 tv.....

fact of the matter is is who cares how much ppv u get in an impoverished nation like the philipines
