You're not making sense man. Isn't Pac using his talent to beat bigger opponents what makes it special?... If it wasn't that special, then 16 year olds beating on 20s would be common... but of course it's not. "Special" means it's rare...

Well Pac himself was a nobody. Everyone starts out as a nobody. If two nobodies fought, and one was naturally bigger... wouldn't you suggest the naturally bigger guy had the advantage? I'm not seeing how you are disproving this.

Being bigger isn't much of an advantage when you don't use it.

 

How do you not "use it"? Just being big you are using it. You are stronger, can take better hit, etc...
If you're trying to say that skill overcomes size, then yes I agree with that. But that doesn't change the accomplishment here right.
If you have a gun and I have a knife... you have an advantage over me. If I used my ninja skills to kill you with that knife, then my skills make me special...

Eh... nice try but there's truth in that. I'm not saying a smaller guy can't knock down a bigger guy, but it would take more effort than the other way around. Hence the advantage.... not hard to grasp.

It doesn't matter if you don't know how to use it. You still have the advantage here. If I told someone that I kicked someone's ass with a knife who pointed a gun at me, they would think it was impressive.

Going back to the original point... by your reasoning... when is it ever impressive when a smaller boxer beats a bigger one? You can always counter and say that the smaller guy was just more skilled and the bigger guy didn't know how to use his size.... so it's never impressive.

You're stretching it here. We're talking about boxers here. It's not like they were standing still waiting to be hit. They've trained for the fight, so you can assume they were at least competent.

So the comparison here would be someone who knew how to shoot, but my skills were just better.

 

I'm starting to slowly agree that Mayweather doesn't want this fight and it's slowly being more and more obvious with how things are going. First time they signed for March all went well and it was done with, then things go quiet for a while and out of the blue Mayweather introduces a new testing system in boxing which leaves not only Pacquiao's team shocked and confused but the entire boxing world and maybe even other sports. Now everything is nearly done with and Pacquiao finally got what the testing is all about and now they want to ruin it because of money %. Fact is, Mayweather DOES have better PPV numbers but still is there ANYONE out there that could guarantee the attraction and money a Pacquiao fight does?. Pac remains P4P#1 and is the champion in this fight, I know that doesn't matter when it comes to PPV but it's not like he has nothing to offer or has bad PPV numbers, his PPV numbers compete with Mayweather's and can be called in the same level.

I just hope they work something out or just don't negotiate ever again, people are getting excited then all of a sudden something stupid comes up which obviously WILL make us think someone doesn't want it. So far it looks like Mayweather is the one and clearly. I hope this is all nonsense and just rumors, I'll be hoping to read something different from others.

 

Im merely saying, because he was only 16, doesn't make it any better than if he was 18.
