Pacquiao proves this theory wrong however.

If you don't fight in the US, you're more unknown than hated.

He is the exception to the rule, and probably benefits a bit from Floyd's unpopularity.

More do to due with a lack of excitement. Sorry, but some people just can't accept the truth. And yes, that can apply to Lewis as well (Lesser extent).

Why would anyone care? I don't give a **** about american media or their opinion. You can't explain to a 5 year old that his mommy isn't the greatest mommy in the world and that mommy of that neighbor bully kid is just as nice. You just pat them on the head, say "Sure, sure" and smile. Americans are the same way with their athletes, they think if a boxer isn't american, he is not a real boxer.

Hell, half of those idiots don't even know that boxing was originated in Britain. I bet they think Ali invented it, or Tyson did.

And don't even get me started on British fans. I live in Canada, and I swear, they are even worse than Canadians. Canadians have been rooting for Maple leafs, a team that hasn't won since 1967, and would routinely claim it's one of the best teams in the world. Brits haven't had major success in a world cup in decades, but British fans will be there, rooting their hearts out. As soon as something British enters the stage, the entire nation says goodbye to the brain and hello to cheering. They oh so desperately want to win at something, anything at all...

Also, I don't see why you think Lennox Lewis was disliked here.

Then again, do you know who Americans vote for in the "Who would've won Lewis-Klitschko if it continued" debate? Quite the popular debate between myself and others around me.

Holmes seems a lot more popular amongst American fans, and is consistently rated a lot higher than Lewis. I rate Larry Holmes highly myself, but can't see any justification for him being higher than Lewis. He certainly isn't more exciting

Eh? That sounds like the definition of a good fan. Supporting your team when they aren't winning

The Klitschkos' knockout ratios are fantastic, esp. Vitali's, the highest in heavyweight history. American media has lied about them for years, which has caused a lot of problems..................

    Well, there's one example....
and that's probably because the historians and so-called experts claim that prime Holmes beating old Ali and old Holmes beating prime Mercer is greater than prime Lewis beating old Holyfield and old Tyson.
If Europeans believe the opposite, isn't that expected?

As for your second statement above, I must agree with that, especially as a Cubs fan.

I don't know who in the American media doesn't consider the Klits dominant in the division, I haven't read anything negative on either Klit...I have on Haye though...

If it's their relationship with HBO, I would say that has more to do with their promoter...If my memory serves me, that's K2...

If Wlad wins, especially if by early KO all we will hear from Haye nuthuggers is that he is a blown up cruiserweight bum.

I actually think Haye is pretty good and would beat everyone except the K brothers.

But that hardly makes them true fans of boxing then! I dont expect boxing fans to know all fighters in the world from A to Z but atleast they should know the topfighters in each division!

Lewis beat a prime Mercer too, and old Holyfield was a better win than old Ali. Also Lewis fought and beat a better range of contenders than Holmes in my opinion. The 90s had a lot of depth and Lewis fought just about everyone. That's not to say Holmes couldn't have done the same, but the fights just weren't there for him in the 80s. That's boxing I suppose

If the K's were from Nigeria, they would be bigger in the country than Michael Jordan.

    You're a ****in' idiot, fella.

Ali's trainer saying something does not mean Ali is involved in this campaign you're making up. To be honest, neither Klitschko will be on the same page of rankings as Ali when it's all said and done, regardless of this Haye fight.
