If Ward wanted the fight, why didn't he take it when was offered by HBO and fought Rodriguez instead. As many others, he only "wants" Golovkin, when GGG already has a fight scheduled.

GGG didn't generate the money he did back in 2013 that he does now. That's one reason Ward was chasing him right now. But still he cant expect 60% after not fighting all that time. He has no bargaining chip if it was a serious negotiation.

What backlash? GG's fans are the only one's crying and creating some revenge minded twist towards Ward because Ward called GG out and GG's fans hate the criticism that Ward's fans give GG when they say that GG ducked Ward, lol.

I'd be cool if he just fought more often. I don't like seeing top shelf talent on the sidelines.

I may play devils advocate on Ward, but that's rooted in that I'm disappointed with how he's set his own career back from what it could've been. I don't like that he's pointed the finger at everyone else for not being bigger and victimized himself.

If he proves me wrong and gets back into the ring with the hunger he had on the way up, I'll gladly give him his props.

Get fighting instead of talking, and I'll shut right the hell up and move on from the criticism. Until then, I see a dude who is still living on what he did years ago and has lost touch. Even fights like Brand and Smith are OK, just make them part of fighting 3-4 times a year. Stay active.

The fix is so stunningly simple I have to wonder if Andre's just burned out on the sport.

Only he knows his own body. Maybe he feels like a shot fighter?

The Smiths,Brands and Murdocks wouldn't be a problem is he fought them 3-4 times a year. At least that way we can gauge where Ward's skill and ability is at. When a fighter takes long layoffs it becomes a big ????.

with him vacating his own 168lb strap its clear he never intended to fight golovkin, even at 168. he simply cant make 168 anymore. lying pos.

There may be something to that with all the nagging injuries. Maybe he feels like he's got to cash out before he gets too much more mileage on him.

We'll see. I've posted a ton about this situation, now it's time to sit back for a few months and see how it develops from here. There's not much to add until we know the date and opponent of Andre's next fight.
