The Vera loss probably saved Andy's career! If he had won that fight, Top Rank was ready to sign him to a 4 fight deal at Steward's behest. Two fights on Pavlik undercards, and a shot at the champ was part of that deal. It would have been Pavlik KO2 Lee, and Andy would have faded into obscurity. After the loss the hype died down, and Andy went back into the learning curve where he needed to be.
Lee was victorious on yesterday's fight show in Germany, wasnt he. He didnt set the world on fire with yesterday's performance and obviously failed to showcase his skills in front of a big crowd and countless millions of tv viewers around the globe. Nevertheless, the talent is there.Lee is one of the more promising fighters at middle weight. A good boxer who is just not good enough to dethrone any of the reigning champs at middle weight. Lee,Golovkin,Pirog,Ndam-there are some rising good prospects at middle weight.
Lee looked good against Willie Gibbs who he fought after the Vera lost but his last two fights have just been terrible, is it me or does he look like he's a bit depressed.
He's better than Amir Khan, Bernard Dunne and John Duddy, I'll tell you that for free. but he is getting put in against some ****-cans, sort it out Lee.
Yeah, Lee is terrible. He was getting caught at will from a nobody last night. He reminds me of John Duddy.
He's hyping him like all managers do. They should match him with Duddy and see which of these guys is worse.
