The Angulo vs Lara ring size should be STANDARD in boxing.

    Period.

Tell me what disadvantage does it have?

Lara could not RUN against Angulo. He had to box and use his skills.

End result: GREAT fight that ended in a KO. So good, people wanted a rematch.

    It's not a track meet. It's a boxing match.

If its so easy to 'run' maybe you should turn pro and 'run', then make millions 'running'

Honestly, running isn't as hard as people make it out to be. But you make the ring size smaller, it forces you to rely on your skills and box, as oppose to run and pot shot and kill the sport of boxing.

If every fighter chose to run, fights would be hard to score because few shots would land. Fortunately, some fighters want to gain fans and want to gain respect.

If every fighter had Lara's mentality, boxing would be dead. It would be finished.

And you don't make millions running. I doubt Lara will ever make millions.

    You're being an idiot.

    Does Mayweather run?

    No. So, he's a brawler?

That's idiotic. Lara RUNS. He doesn't engage in a fight. He tries to do whatever he can to make it a non-fight.

Rigo is more skilled than Lara and would score more knockouts with a smaller ring, but he is guilty of staring matches too.

In the Cordoba fight, who was also willing to run or engage in a staring match, the fight was RAZOR thin.

If every fighter chose to fight Rigo like Rigo fights them, there would be a lot of close, boring as hell fights.

If every fighter tried to fight like Rigo theyd get ktfo because theyd make a mistake which is why no one does fight like him

Is Cordoba world class? And that's bull****. They would be standing, barely marked up, in a terribly boring decision that fans walked out on.

Remember how bad Alexander vs Bailey was?

Same thing. They just wanted to stare at eachother. At least with Bailey, Alexander had a somewhat legitimate excuse considering his reputation as a power puncher.

Cotto ****ed him up though. And who makes more money? Cotto or Alexander?

Who would you rather watch fight? Cotto or Alexander?

    Is Cotto an unskilled brawler?

The job of the aggressor is to catch the runner. Changing the sport to penalize those with defensive footwork would be stupid. If you don't like pot-shotting, fair enough, but they're operating within the rules. They're scoring with punches and avoiding their opponent's. No reason to dumb the sport down. Using movement and range and still scoring is a skill in itself.

I thought this was a rumor. Did Golden Boy really use a smaller ring so Cubans like Lara and Rigo can't run?

Does that ring look so small that it would jeopardize a good boxer's ability to box?

    No, of course not.

People just make excuses that allow certain people to run and not engage in fights.
