I've seen American journeyman fighters called garbage by some posters and then when the same journeyman is scheduled to fight a Euro he is suddenly a dangerous and formidable opponent. I do see the hypocrisy but I don't want to see them silenced because they're sometimes a good source of info on Euro boxers.

I've just learned to see through their bull****.

That said there are couple of anti-US posters on this site that I'd love to talk face to face to.

Personally and not speaking for everybody, I like Floyd Mayweather Jr. because he's a skilled boxer. That's it. I don't give a damn about what he does in his personal life or his attitude. Why would I care about his personality? I'm not trying to date him. I just appreciate what he brings to the ring and that's it.

I think sometimes you hear one guy say something, then you say "American's said". I don't recall more than a few posters thinking Simms was that good. Only ever saw one thread where someone called him elite. I never even rated Simms. I never thought he was that great a fighter. A good fighter? Yes...and Alcine should get credit for the win. But I don't think Sims beats DLH even at this stage...I don't think he even beats Spinks.

Are you saying we only care about our individual self, or our fellow Americans as well in your statement.

And thats the problem with what you just said, you generalize too damn much.

I doubt you know enough Americans to make that statement.

Not to mention, you took for that post COMPLETELY out of context.

All he was saying is that as Americans, we are not required to care that the rest of the world loves Futbol. Here in the States, we love American Football....and we think the NFL is better than any sport in the world (except maybe it's collegiate equivalant). He certainly wasn't saying anything about caring about the other countries well being or anything like that. On the contrary, he was responding in kind to someone saying the same thing he said in reverse. The world doesn't like the NFL, and it's ok to say that....but not ok for us as Americans to defends a sport and league we invented? BS....

How the **** does loving the NFL over Soccer make me a scurge??
When i said I dont give a ****, it meant I dont feel the NEED to hAVE THE WORLD FEEL DIFFERENTLY THAN THEY WOULD LIKE TOO!!!

You love Soccer?/ Good for you, IMO, you have the right TO LOVE WHAT YOU CHOOSE and opinions shouldnt be forced on you or I.

If you pay attention, you'll notice that I welcome the international community and have some good and interesting debate with many. Yet, when idiots attack me or other US citizens with generalizations, accusations, and ignorant opinions?? I'll call it like I C it:good

Unless you have met a couple hundred personally, you are not qualified to say MOST Americans.

And as I just said, you took his post completely out of context. I somehow doubt you are qualified to discuss most Americans anymore than I am qualified to discuss most Germans, Italians, Chinese, etc.

No, I don't know why you picked that part of his post.

I don't think you can generalize how this country feels about the rest of the world. On top of this, are you telling me that England cares a whole lot about what France thinks? South Africa about Brazil?

I think it's just easy to pick on the US.

Well I am generally logical, so I don't completely get where you're coming from. I judge my experiences as individual experiences that reflect on the people involved. And only the way the people reacted in that situation. Of course we all make mistakes so I don't always gather correctly. But still, that was huge generalization.
