You can`t do that, if they foul disqualify them ! WTF?! YOU CAN`T HAVE A FIGHT WITH NO INSIDE FIGHTING, THAT`S AMATEUR BOXING!!!
AJ WASN`T SETTING UP HIS RIGHT HAND i THINK HE MISSED ALL OF THEM HE SHOWED NO OFFENSIVE SKILL HE WAS FAR BETTER A COUPLE OF YEARS AGO.
What's funny is that Fury fans would of been tossing themselves off into a frenzy and talking about Parker being taken to school if that had been Tyson in there. Joshua won and controlled the fight 9-3 or being generous to Parker who stayed out of range, at best 8-4. The lack of infighting in my opinion saved Parker from AJ getting off his big shots. You could see the influence from the recent conversations with Klitschko and Banks in what was a very WK type performance. Joshua grew as a champion Saturday night and the haters are close to really embarrassing themselves. Like him or not, Joshua has achieved more in his first 21 fights than any other heavyweight champion in history. I'm not his biggest fan but credit where it's due
But Parker easily neutralised AJ also where were all the offensive moves I seen him use in his film studies?
Correction- AJ plodded forward following Parker around the ring. Parker had his hands down practically all night inviting shots. AJ too scared of the counter. Only initiation of action from AJ was a jab which would catch Parker right at the end of the punch i.e. not a proper jab. The ref saved Parker? Learn boxing
What control? He followed Parker around the ring the whole fight. Got wobbled and hurt a few times. Took tape breaks whenever he felt like it. Benefitted from a corrupt referee and judges. This is no Lennox we are witnessing.
The take away from this fight is that Parker has the ability to be competitive on the cards and even win if it's more on the level. As it played out there is no credible case to be made for him losing on the cards. If you have say 5 toss up rounds and give all to Parker maybe you feel it's justified to adjust for the situation with the ref, but it's still bias in that the judges can't score with that kind of handicap.
I like Joshua, have always liked him, and will be rooting for him to decapitate Wilder and unify all the belts. I have no agenda. I scored the Parker fight a draw. I don't know what to tell ya.
Not excusing it, but this ref seemed fairly incompetent. We know that some refs let them fight, and some don't. This ref was off most of the night though. He had no control in there. Parker was punching after he said break. Parker was coming in with his head. Joshua was holding and attempting to hit. The ref let things get way out of control.
Well I dislike him, or at least have in the past, and to me that fight was not in draw territory. But again, I could see it there if Parker was given the due leeway to fight his plan.
AJ won comfortably for me. He appears somewhat gun shy though. I think the Vlad fight has affected his confidence. I also thought his timing was well out. Wilder now 50/50 fight in my opinion.
