And yeah, I'll throw my hat in with everyone else who has said it. His hands, his fault, whether he knew about it or not. (And let's be honest, he knew about it. I'm sure you're just backing a guy you like, but be realistic.) I'd say the same thing about every guy who tests positive for roids and says "I didn't know." You're an athlete, know what you put in your body.

Those traces can be found in skin, sweat, blood which can be found in old pads.

 

They're also two of the primary ingredients in Plaster of Paris. As most professional boxing governing bodies require new, one-time use handwraps there's really no reason why those things should have been in there. And if the CSAC saw fit to suspend him unanimously, there probably wasn't a lot of doubt as to what exactly was going on.

 

His hands had been wrapped and he was ready to go. Pretty clear intent to use illegal handwraps. Obviously that rule is enough for the CSAC. Margo and co. didn't even appeal the suspensions, did they? So obviously they weren't so confident of their innocence.

LMFAO, He got caught RED handed if he could not tell the difference in the feel and did not watch the wrapping he must be one dumb MOFO. This has to be the most insane debate in a while. The guy got suspended by the boxing commission . . . did he appeal the punishment . . . no. If I was found guilty of something I would scream from mountain tops and sue my trainer to clear my name.

 

Well in boxing if you have plaster of paris wrapped up in your handwraps, even if you don't make it to the ring, that's pretty serious intent to use loaded gloves. These are the rules. Again, not one member of the athletic commission dissented and they're the ones who are paid to enforce the rules.
