Just because there are exceptions doesn’t mean there isn’t a rule, so to speak. Philly fighters have the reputation of being tough guys who might have skills but prefer to go toe to toe and fight until someone drops — Joe Frazier, Curtis Parker, Matthew Saad Muhammad... you know the type. But Philadelphia also produced Jimmy Young and Harold Johnson. There have been a slew of crude, strongman, barrel-chested Argentine fighters. Even the more skilled version of the same type, like Galindez, are cut from a similar mold, but not identical. Just because there are other types doesn’t mean there isn’t an archetype.
