I've read these rationalizations for the past 5 years. You are simply beating a dead horse. Bottom line: US athletes in general are woefully out of shape particularly in the two most pop american sports and HW boxers are getting their asses kicked. Everything else is speculation and it appears to everyone else as sorry excuse making.

Out of curiosity, which "pop american sports" are you claiming Americans are "woefully out of shape" in?

 If US athletes are so out of shape why did we win 110 medals at the last olympics. How many medals did your country win?

They're getting their asses kicked because nobody in America considers boxing a popular sport and our best athletes dont go into it. Its not like Valuev, Chagaev and the Klitsckos are great boxers.

So, let me get this straight.

5'11" Mike Tyson, if around now, would be a 6'7" man playing basketball.

the best heavy weights of this era are the klitschko brothers hands down, it is what it is.us dont have the holyfield, tyson, bowe, etc etc in this era.usa either have smaller guys that can box or bigger guys that slug.klitschko have the harder style for fighter to adapt to the most.and the only one that has some of a chance is a fighter not to igored to fight them right away and thats haye.

another 5 yrs or so we might have a guy from the usa we can all root for.the hw sucks in the us not the world.my fav hw are.

    david haye
    eddie chambers
    james toney
    chris areola
    vitali & wald

This is almost comical. First of all you have no idea how any of your past American boxers would have fared against either Klitschko. But your obvious bigotry and foolishness is exposed when you claim that Holyfield of all people would have "destroyed" the Klitschkos. Foreman talked about Evander's heart recently but emphasized how weak his punches were relative to true heavy's and Holy's fight against the fat ancient Foreman was embarrassingly competitive. Ali, actually competed in athletic events in the 70's billed battle of the superstars where great athletes competed against each other. Ali was quite average athletically and joked about barely beating the singer Tony Orlando in the sprint competition. Great boxers are not usually great all-around athletes but have a special something that other men just don't have, a certain bravery, resilency and as Marvelous Marvin Hagler explained the ability to handle loneliness, to run alone, to separate from family for often months at a time to face another man down whose only desire is to remove you from your senses. The Klitschko's have all the qualities of great champions; discipline in and out of the ring, physical and mental strength, the ability to learn and rebound from adversity and are smart enough to show constant respect for their adversaries. So they often train alone at the end of a long day while all the other fighters have long exited the gym for their homes and families. Just ask Steward who has to pry Wlad away from the ring even though he was the first to show up that morning. Football and basketball players have their teammates to fall back on and help them when they are down physically or mentally and support them when they are firing on all cylinders. A boxer in trouble is essentially on his own, as we all witnessed in the courageous Shannon Briggs beatdown at the hands of Vitali. Now that is a great fighter, no good maybe on the court or field but a true gladiator in the lonely confines of the squared circle. This is to you Shannon for sustaining the hideous assault of the great Vitali Klitschko. "LONELY ARE THE BRAVE"

Ali was ****. He never had a competition from USSR so he can't claim legit world HW champ status.
As metter of fact US after fafll of USSR never had any competition to talk about. You always have biggest delegation, you also have better infrastructure for sports and yet China wiped you. And don't let me started on BS that goes towards US competitors and Doping scandals. You talk like somehow US is a prime race and your population do not consist of people from other countries. How come Italy can't produce champion while Rocky Marciano was. TKLitschkos actually a great boxers that would have wiped canvas with most top ATG heavys from great US. Good luck disproving that.

Evander Holyfield proved he was a world class fighter by beating nobody other than Americans, fighting in America.

Evander Holyfield didn't beat a non American fighter until recently, when he beat Francois Botha in a retirement home.

Ukraine now is one of the most successful boxing countries(wow 10 years ago it would have sounded as a joke). we have 3 strong champs and plenty of lower quality fighters along with upcoming prospects. We are country with over all population below 48 million mark. Boxing is not top 5 most popular sport. Yes many people tune in when Klitschkos fight(not as many as during football season for example or Olympics or Eurovision or Ice skating). It is almost laugheble here if you actually planing to have a professional athlete career here. And still we have champions while you suck balls. Funny how US gave up position in all weights and how this actually match exact time when large parts of the world started to compete. To many coincidences.

So how come America had great basketball/baseball/pro football players in the 60's,70's, 80's and 90's AND great heavyweights.

Honestly your argument is so thin Karen Carpenter would be proud.

:lol: You're a clown. Didnt Ali beat down some Soviet bum in the build up to the medal rounds? The Soviets were never good at boxing. You know how many soviet champions there have been at the olympics in the Heavyweight division? 0 until 2008. Italy and Cuba historically have more gold medalists in boxing then the Soviets did. So tell me dope, where were these Soviet champions you are referring to. Hell outside of the Klitsckos the Eastern Bloc fighters today arent that good. I think Andre Dirrell proved that.

How did China wipe us when we had more total medals. The US Olympic committee is privately funded. The Chinese olympic committee is state funded, same as the Soviet and Eastern Bloc countries in the 60's, 70's and 80's. It makes 3rd world countries feel important win they win at the olympics and they cant even feed their own people.

Why dont you read up about the sports "programs" children are put through in China.

An Eastern Euro talking about doping. Thats rich.:lol:
