Ehmm.... would do you mean? They had slow start? They invaded at right moment and captured most of the mos significant territory in less than 2 years. If they stalled longer it would be MUCH harder to penetrate USSR.

Well if Vietnam is any indication Germany would have wiped the floor with your country faster than you can say "heil". For all we know you would be having Weisswurst and Wernersteiner of Big Macks and Pepsi.

The Nazi's had success because of the purge, and Stalin hid under his bed for a week.

The Battle of Greece kept the Germans from avoiding Russian winter. This is well known.

The Vietnamese whipped the Nazi's ass. A significant portion of the French Foreign Legion were former SS and Wehrmacht troops during the battle of Dien Phen Bu

However thats not total war. When we really want to win, we do this to your country

They stil would have ran in to cold sooner or later. What do you mean? Nazi had success because half of officer command where dead because of Stalin repression and army was in process of reforming.

Well North Korea and Pakistan have enough nukes to wipe out half of your population. Your an empire in decline, like the Romans, only the Romans left us with rich history, while Americans will be remembered for Big Macs.

They would have accomplished their major objectives before the onset of Russian winter. The capture of Stalingrad and capture of the oil fields south of the Ukraine.

The natural conditions and weather of Russia is what ultimately halted the German ability to wage Blitzkrieg warfare.

I Know that. But Greece was fairly small battle compared to Barbarossa proportions.

Small battles can have profound repercussions. And it wasnt that small, it took nearly 1 million Axis troops to subjugate Greece.

    * The Soviet Union only started competing at the 1956 Olympic Games. lol

    Soviet Union - 1204
    Unified team (1992) - 135
    Russia -408

    Total - 1747

Germany (East, West, Unified) - 1618

Russia and Germany Total - 3365

    USA - 2549

Lets also factor in the devestating poulation losses from the European countries which took a insane % of their young men and what would have been some of their best athletes.

Just thought i'd add this as you weren't putting actual numbers.
