Let me explain this one real slow for some of the idiots here:

A young man is presented two choices for getting out of the Ghetto. He can either go play basketball or Football and have a 1 in 10(higher but for arguments sake) chance of getting recruited to play Basketball and get a College degree and maybe if he is really lucky be making millions of dollars before he is 25 if the sports work out, OR he can have a 1 in 500 chance of becoming a boxer that can at least make enough money to live comfortably(not Mayweather but perhaps Cunningham) with a 1 in 1000 shot of making it rich in boxing.

So I have 10% chance of doing it the basketball way or a .002% chance of doing it the boxing way. Add in that boxing gyms are rare to find in many cities (and Basketball courts are everywhere), making the boxing route not even possible. And I think the picture is pretty ****ing clear, its easier and more likely to do well playing basketball/football than it is to go the boxing route.

No, that's not "nuf said" considering no elite NBA player let alone, one in his prime stepped over into boxing.

But there is so much competition in bbal, even if you are great your chances of becoming a nba player are almost none I believe. Heavyweight boxing is dying for the American star, Its open market and a great opportunity. Also lets say people play basketball or football and they fail they will still be strong and big to go into boxing. I blame the lack of gyms.

Thanks you for being the one guy who has acknowledged the obvious and irrefutable truth in my initial arguement. All the rest of the 43 pages of posts are irrelevent. This is all anyone needs to know:

    America- 425
    Britain- 38
    Canada- 35
    Germany- 35
    Ukraine-28
    Russia- 25

There best big men aren't doing it either, and more of ours are by far.

You have some massive insecurities. Michigan Warrior pretty much decimated your argument by showing guys jumping over 7 foot people.

I mean are you just a ****in idiot?

    Thing with stupid foreignors is.

American heavyweights were exciting, popular all over the world and gave great fights.

European heavyweights are boring, pussies and give horrible fights and nobody cares who they are.

So literally Europe should just stop boxing you are the reason the sport is dying if you are truly superior to our guys.

No you are a ****ing idot. The numbers are agaisnt you.

The problem is, you are not a boxing fan. You don't understand that jumping does not mean that you have a chin or stamina to go twelve. But its irrelevent. The best big men in other countries are not going into boxing anyway.

Those numbers dont mean anything if the quality is terrible.

Tell me *******. Do you think Eddie Chambers would have even made the top 50 US heavyweights 20 years ago?

Top 50 yes. I am sure that he could have bumped Tommy Morrison or even slow footed Ray Mercer. But the point is that the best big men in other countries are not going into boxing either. More of our atheletes are going into boxing than any other cournty OR CONTINENT by far.

Hell, you do know that our basketball dream teams have been defeated by coutries like Greece and Spain?

And besides, those who think Lebron James could just walk into a boxing ring and dominate do not understand boxing and are not fans. The skill set is differnent, and there is no indication that anyone in particular would have the chin and stamina to compete. I would ay based on their size, the stamina would not be there.
