Sweet Pea, you are making no damn sense whatsoever. Putting words in my mouth, and it's pathetic. I thought you were better poster than that. Obviously I was wrong.

Floyd was hitting and not getting hit, Oscar was missing and getting hit. Therefore, for someone who seems to enjoy that aspect of the game(at least when Wlad uses it) it seems a bit hypocritical that you'd score a fight of that nature in favor of the guy who got hit more and landed less, against an opponent doing a great job of "hitting and not getting hit".

I'm pointing out that you just seem to defend your fighters under any circumstance, Oscar and Wlad being the main two.

Of course he did. Go find one post that I ever made saying that Floyd didn't fight smart. This **** is ******ed. I have to argue about nonsense that you guys make up on my behalf. I felt that Oscar won, because Floyd's flickering punches were being blocked by Oscar's gloves. While Oscar didn't get to Floyd very much either, he made it count much more when he did. Floyd was getting credit for punches that didn't land. BIG DIFFERENCE.

And you gave DLH credit for punches he didn't land. Evens out IMO.

What words did I put in your mouth? Everything I said was true.

As I said before, you defend your fighters under any circumstance, even if what they do goes directly against what you've said before. You give DLH the win over Floyd and Pea for landing the harder shots, despite the fact that they land more, but turn it around and give Oscar the win against Mosley in the rematch for doing the same thing Floyd and Pea did against Oscar.

I started this up just to show that you seem to favor whatever your fighter does. You don't seem to have any criticism for your favorites. You could've said "Wlad fought conservatively tonight so as not to make any mistakes in a huge bout for him. Makes sense for him to do so, even if it was boring. Now that he's done this, he should return to form when defending his title" or something along those lines. That would make sense, but not trying to defend him and act as if that was a great performance.

Can you tell me which ones specifically they counted for Mayweather that weren't actually landed?

No, you made up some bull**** and tried to act like it was fact. I never bashed on ANY FIGHTER for fighting smart. I have NEVER said that Oscar won simply because he landed harder shots.

Hell, if you read my posts you should know that I have said time and time again that Oscar needs to BACK UP, and make Floyd come to him, use his jab and force Floyd to come forward and take chances, and then counter on his openings. Basically, the exact opposite of how you are pretending that I act.

Oscar DOUBLING Sweet Pea in landed power punches is quite a bit different than "Oscar landed the harder shots". Whitaker gave away too many rounds in that fight, and his own trainer told him that he was losing going into the 9th round. He sure didn't win it form then on and gave the 12th away.

As far as Mayweather, I already explained that. It had to do with Oscar doing more with what he got in, while Mayweather was completely ineffective tossing punches off of Oscar's gloves for most of the fight. Oscar didn't get many clean shots either, but they were better shots. Not just harder... he made them count and Floyd's face at the post fight press conference showed that.

None of that has ANYTHING to do with this discusion. In neither case did one guy dominate the other using great boxing technique and not much risk. I have never bashed on a fighter for that... so once again... you are just talking bull****.

Go watch any round you want... put it in slow motion... count the landed punches, and then check compubox.

    Thanks.

You do the same, thanks. Perhaps the phantom punches for DLH will disappear the second time around.

You asked a question you knew had no answer. I did the same.

WTF?:rofl You said that I counted punches for Oscar that didn't land. You had no base for that comment.. I pointed that out. I never even discussed any particular punches, I was speaking in general format regarding the fight.

Have you confused me with one of the other posters taking my side? I certainly never said you bashed anyone for fighting with a "hit and not get hit" or pure boxing style. I said you change your views on how to score fights in favor of your favorite fighters.

I was pointing that out to show that this thread was just another example of you favoring one of your fighters, by acting like this was some kind of great(or even good) performance.

All through the 80's I watched the big fights with my step-dad... just about every major fight since 1988- and every televised fight that I could since 1993-ish. I am only 28. How about yourself?
