The Starling/Winky high guard parry defense is my favorite.

The best defence to me belongs to those who stay in punching range.
The highest form of defence to me is when a fighter uses it whilst moving forward.

Can't deny its effectiveness. It's won 4 world cups, and Italy has produced some of the greatest footballers ever.

Can you do it for 10, 12 or 15 whole rounds, though? Because that's what Niccolino Locche -- a non-puncher -- used to do on a regular basis. :sisi1

probably not now, but i used to be able to run 10 miles with hardly breaking a sweat, so i had decent lungs. i love locches defense because he didnt need legs for great defense, his waist and head movement was all he needed to make you look foolish while standing inches away from you. now that is something i cant do because it requires great skill, not just good legs. charlie z is able to avoid shots from a champ boxer by using his legs to stay out of range, so how much skill do you figure it takes?

The true art of defense is one who can stay in the pocket and not get hit while in position to hit.

    Its not even close...........
