The Ingle gym back in the 80's and 90's had a style that in many respects was totally unorthodox. The fighters were trained to fight with their hands low and to never block punches but to instead avoid them with head/upper body movement, footwork and stance. Kamikaze in many ways but it clearly worked for Naseem Hamed, Herol Graham, Johnny Nelson, Ryan Rhodes and others, when it worked it worked very well but when it went wrong it resulted in some fighters getting badly knocked out, not everyone has the reflexes and natural athleticism to make that work.
Guerrero was a good boxer until Mayweather beat him. I think his legs started to slow after that and he realized that he could repeatedly earn million dollar PBC paydays by slugging it out. I hope he doesn’t end up punchy.
Vitali. Just basically because he was an Upright European Fighter, which many American trainers criticize. But he was maximized his height and reach, and wrote the book for fighting on the outside. What many tall rangy fighters wish they could do but couldn't.
Can't find think of many other gyms who have produced so many champs and top fighters over the years as the Ingle gym, the style they have is russian roulette but when it works it works extremely well.
How could I have forgotten Jorge Paez? Strangely athletic face-first fighter who punched at odd angles in bunches. And Razor Ruddock was far from orthodox with his penchant for leading with that hybrid hook-uppercut.
