Alexander Ustinof won the WBA Pan African title against Tua in New Zealand.

He is not the first East European to hold the Pan African belt Timur Ibragimov won the belt in 2012

The only African holder was Thamsanqa Dube

Who is the head of Geography at the WBA?

My son would do a good job, but thinking about it he was complaining that Lionel Messi did not appear in the European Championships:patsch

Anyone got some better examples of bad geography in boxing?

Wlad won a North American Boxing Federation (NABF) crown, as indeed did Tua.

Tanzanian Joseph Marwa had a shot at a IBF's 'East/West European' crown.

It's rife in the HW division.

Charr (GER) vs Bakhtov (RUS) for the WBC Mediteranian belt
Pala (CZH) vs Wilson (USA) for the WBO European belt
Oquendo (USA) vs Rossy (USA) for the WBA Fedalatin belt

It all checks out when you use B-Hop's worldmap though. :D
