Why do I feel like you like many others picked Sam Peter to beat Wladimir.

peter was not better against vitaly.,..he was younger and hungrier against wlad...green??? come on man please define how peter was green going into that fight and wlad was coming off 2 ko losees...AND that was exciting...if u do not think wlad is great u r simply wrong...u don't have to like the guy but he is a great HW...I can't stand hatton and he has less talent than wlad but I will admit he is a great 140 lb fighter...same with margo...as mu ch as PBF would own him...he is almost a great fighter

The only bad press that is warranted is that his fights are boring, and we all know he's become boring to protect his biggest weaknes, his Chin, and second biggest weakness, his psyche. Personally, I think his psyche is weaker than his chin, but it's his chin that triggers his mental breakdown. Once he's been hurt, he just has not been able to overcome instincts to flight. Look @ a guy like Calzaghe. He gets dropped, and then comes back smoking everytime as his instinct is to fight. I defend the way Wlad fights, because his goal is to win, and his method is very successful.

I don't think racism is involved except from a handful of idiots and that group of idiots use their race, regardless of their race, as their biggest criterea for choosing their opinion of a fighter. Look @ Pac., the guy has fans from all over the world, & all walks of life, because he's a great warrior. Look @ Mayweather, he has at least as many detractors for being boring as Wlad does. Are these examples of Pac & Mayweather race based???

You seem to have a complex when it comes to race in the sport of boxing.

He's too stationery. He fights bums. WTF is Hasim Raham fighting for a championship for? The power and athleticism is there, but he's TOO square. I can see him getting beat easy. Sorry guys if Arreola calms down a bit and tightens up his defense its over.

Really, the only people who act this way about Wlad, are pathetic haters on the internet. If you listen to a casual boxing fan at work, who doesn't get on message boards they will talk about what a bad ass he is, and how he dominated his opponent. If you talk to most professional fighters, they all have tremendous respect for Wlad. Basically... it's just a group of haters who have nothing better to do with their life than get on the internet and do nothing but hate on the best Heavyweight boxer in the world.

    Of course i do.

i was raised in the US on US boxing and at one point all were considered Eurobums.14-15 years later they are doing good for themselves and are still treated as inferior.

How come so many Euro fighters keep getting T.V dates on major U.S networks? How come so many of them are ranked highly by U.S boxing scribes?

They have no choice,if they want to broadcast CHAMPIONSHIP fights they have to give them TV spots.

Doesnt change the fact that everytime Wlad fights on HBO Lampley and Kellerman are always stuck on the debate of Wlad being truly accepted in the US.

Wlad's been knocked out 3 times by decent oppostion. Despite this, he's constantly on HBO, and is generally highly regarded by American boxing scribes and fans.
