Lennox Lewis in his prime vs a prime Joe Louis. Who splatters whom? And there would be splattering and lots of it!

Louis better than Lewis, Lennox was far more basic and couldn`t defend jabs as well as Louis could, Joe would parry while jabbing, blocking counter jabs that would help him to out jab Lennox, the only thing that would be a big problem for Joe was Lewis`s reach, he never fought a fighter that could exploit that kind of reach the way Lewis could with the 1-2, but Lennox didn`t have the defensive skills that Schmeling displayed in his first b out with Joe, I pick Louis or at the very least would score a lot of points with his superior jab and stance.

Louis`s right hand was so much better than the rights that Lewis threw and the rights Wilder throws now because it travelled such a short distance, he was a much better counter puncher than Lewis.

I got Lewis mid to late KO, but with that right he could take out the much smaller Louis anytime really. He cant out jab Lewis imo either.

Joe Louis's perfect right cross sinks deep into Lennox's chin after a few rounds of Lennox keeping Louis at the end of his jab. Louis KO mid rounds

Louis has about a foot less reach. Would you be more impressed if those two parked well within hitting range of guys they could easily hammer and did hammer from a distance so as to land shorter right hands?

I'd narrowly favor Lewis to utilize his size and reach well enough to win. I think he'd hurt the stalking Louis and at some point finish him off. I'd never count out a puncher like Joe tho.

Too much Louis love in this thread. Lennox destroys him, early.

In case people want to bring up the tired, "Lennox had a glass jaw" argument again.

All arguments here have a solid foundation, I just see the Brown Bomber behind on points hitting Lewis with a left hook around the 7th,wobbling him, then finishing Lennox with one of those beautiful combinations that no heavyweight ever duplicated.
