Ha ha, I knew that'd draw a response out of you. Cotto is favourite and deservedly so, but I don't see him knocking Tony out. It'll be interesting to see if Cotto can take Tony's digs to the body. It's a winnable fight for Tony, I see it something like 65/45 in Cotto's favour, and the odds were waaaay too good to pass up on.

The end is coming for Cotto MSTR.

You really think Marg is goin to let Cotto sit back and enjoy his work like he did against Gomez.

Cotto will have Marg on his chest for 12 rounds, Cotto should box him, almost run, if he wants any chance of winning :yep

Go watch Margarito vs Clottey. Then watch a young, green, and inexperienced Cotto against Cezar Bazan, and see how dominant Cotto is. Bazan fights VERY much like Margarito, and is still a world class fighter. Against Clottey, it was painfully aparent that Marg has very limited skills when it comes to cutting off the ring, and getting inside against his opponent. Cotto will fight this one truely as a boxer puncher. He will utilise his vastly superior movement, and most of all his superior jab to totally dictate the fight. Expect this one to either be a very wide UD, or most likely iMO, stopped late on punishment. The Margarito jab is extremely weak, and he just paws it. This will get him punished all night vs Cotto. On the inside, Cotto is tighter defensively, with shorter, quicker and harder punches. Cotto is a terrible style match up for Marg, and he is going to be on the end of a brutal beating. If you need further evidence, watch Cotto v Pinto as well. Another taller opponent who liked mixing it up with Cotto on the inside. Cotto is simply better than Marg technically both outside and in. He has more power, and is the much more well rounded fighter. All Marg really has is his stamina and chin.... And that will only take you so far. Avatar bets for 1 month for whoever wants it. I am supremely confident in this one.

I'm going to make this a great one for you as well. Cotto is going to spank Margarito into retirement.

Teke, i would ask you to put your money where your mouth is, but i know that you only bet on black fighters. You shouldn't hate the guy just because he bashed your boyfriend SSM.

I don't disagree with much of what you're saying, except that Bazan and Pinto are no where near as strong as Tony. Cotto should get the W, but the size and strength of Margarito makes it a closer fight. I was very surprised how much bigger Tony was when they were side by side at a press conference recently. I can't see Cotto stopping him.

Pinto and Bazan were at least as tall as Margarito. You really don't think Bazan is strong... Have you seen that fight, the guy is tough as nails. Pinto not quite so, but Bazan definitely. Cotto is still a massive welter don't forget, just not in height. In weight, he could very well out weight Tony. He was coming in at almost 160 even when he was fighting at 140. I imagine now he would be coming in a bit over that. Margarito will just be too big a target. I think Cotto will just be landing too many hard and accurate punches, especially to the body. That's where i can see Margarito being taken down. There is no way Marg is going to break Cotto down with Volume. Cotto has been in there with tough fighters before, and has shown that he can deal with pressure himself. Marg's biggest chance is to hurt Cotto with a great punch, which although a possibility, is unlikely IMO. Overall, they are just in different leagues. Look at how Marg performed against Williams, Santos, Clottey, Lujan... He was beaten or got into trouble against all these guys. None of them are as good as Cotto, IMO not even close. The skill differential in this one will be too much for Marg to overcome, and marg's wide looping punches are going to leave himself open for the Cotto onslaught. I can't wait for this fight, its going to be awesome. Like i said, supremely confident. First Marg, then bring the pretty boy. Once Cotto is done, he will look more like his Uncle Roger "The Predator" Mayweather. That is the predator with its mask off by the way haha.

Yeah I've seen the fight, but I don't think Bazan is as strong in the upper body as Tony. I'm aware that Cotto comes in heavy too, but don't forget Tony has fought at 154lbs and didn't look a jot out of place. Completely agree about the skill level. It's all about size for me, and that's what gives Tony a good chance in the fight.
