I don't think Valuev would last until later rounds, especially considering:

    1) How quick and powerful Zhang's punches are.

    2) How bad Valuev have looked against southpaws - Chagaev and Bergeron. Bergeron was super skinny/soft guy with a padded record against bums, yet he managed to hurt Valuev badly in round 2 and give him competitive fight. Oh, and in his very next fight Bergeron was completely annihilated by Dominic Guinn, who was pretty washed up by the time he demolished Bergeron

I havent watched Valuev in a long time but was fascinated by his career back then. He also rid of John Ruiz's title reign ( I actually thought Ruiz won the fight)

The David Haye fight was shameful, Haye talked all of that **** about knocking him out and being the most exciting heavyweight to bring action back to the division and played keep away from Valuev until he was able to hurt him momentarily in round 12.

Valuev was a big guy with a decent jab and some power but wasn't a one punch guy. Zhang hits pretty hard but has a bad gas tank. If he doesn't manage to stop Valuev early on this might be an interesting fight in the back half.

I think a myth about Valuev's chin is grossly exaggerated. Surely, he could take a punch, but his chin was nowhere near as proven against punchers as Mercer's, McCall's, Tua's, Chuvalo's etc. in fact, the ONLY real puncher Valuev has faced in 53 pro fights was 210 lbs cruiserweight that managed to hurt him badly with a single left hook.

No, Valuev isn't lasting long against 290-lbs, skilled heavyweight with freakish power.
