of course everyones being negative, if you're a boxing fan, the only reaction to this is to be negative. a lot of people have been excited at the prospect of another competitor to Eddie Hearn and another way to view boxing but thi sis a shambles. Don't get sucked in by the Eubanks, don't buy it

There used to be a poster on here who slated PPV encouraging people not to buy as the concept in the UK would die or similar.

The guy is absolutely correct - charging PPV for Joshua v Whyte, Martin, Brazil and Molina absolutely scandalous as is this latest move by ITV. Boxnation no doubt will follow soon.

This is not the USA nor is it WWE wrestling.

Mugs need to wake up and not buy any until this PPV nonsense is in TV Hell.

That guy was spot on - you will be paying PPV for nonsense fights he posted.

I don't see the problem in spending, say, ten pounds on an evening of boxing, culminating with Eubank Jr (who everyone is keen enough on to type lots and lots about) headlining in a fight for a version of the super-middle title. Stop being negative please.

The details on how they are going to do this are still sketchy- if it's just the Eubank fight for a tenner then it's a very poor show.

Still a possibility that this gets switched to ITV1 if the channel feels that it's in their interests to do so.

    Few reasons mate:

    1. There are many unfortunate people in the UK who are boxing fans but simply cannot afford PPVs.
    2. It is simply wrong that grubs such as Joshua are making millions fighting puddings in 100/0 fights and guys like Iron Mike Towell fighting for £2k while taking 50/50 fights.
    3. The fights now on PPV are simply nonsense.
    4. The lower the audience numbers the lower the profile of the sport.

I bought my final PPV when Mayweather v Pac stunk my house out and will never buy another regardless of hype.

This latest ITV nonsense is simply beyond belief.

Who the **** is going to be buy this? Absolute joke of a fight and ITV are even calling the IBO strap a world title ffs. Eubank's should be ashamed of themselves. I'm a big fan of Eubank jr too I think he's a very talented fighter but you can't talk about fighting the likes of Golovkin then turn around and face off against a nobody for a 'title' nobody gives a **** about.

    1. That is no reason not to have them if it the best way of making good fights.
    2. Says who.
    3. Says who. Half the fights people say are nonsense sell well. cf. Molina.
    4. Boxing has rarely been more popular than now.

It's your lookout to whine about it, but it's just one guys opinion. Others might have different opinions.

You're the only person i've seen on here and any form of social network who 1) hasn't slated it and 2) actually buying it. it's an absolute joke, and there is no way you can spin this one

Hearn kind of hinted at this recently in an IFL TV interview - have a listen - he basically says the PPV market is opening up and he's glad because then he won't be the only one getting stick for it.

ITV PPV won't last very long, it will just fade away.

Unless they have very good undercards the events will not sell, nobody is going to buy Eubank Jr in an IBO title fight.
