I'm going back to boxing training pretty soon, and I just wondered what the best source of information is, technique-wise. Obviously I'll have trainers to ask, but I'd like to have something to refer to in the meantime and between lessons. Can you guys recommend any great books or DVDs for boxing? Cheers.
Theres some decent stuff here: http://www.rivalboxing.com/e/trainingtips-e.html Title also has a series out that I got and was pretty happy with... you have to pay for that one though... technically you do anyway (I would have if I had any money... which is a pretty lame excuse... but anyway i digress). The title videos have a few by russ anber from the first link and also jeff fenech does a few with hussein hussein assisting which I thought was kind of cool.
I've got volumes 1 - 16 of these if you are wanting a copy. Couldn't tell you if they are good because I'm a lazy ******* and haven't watched them yet. http://store.titleboxing.com/title-boxing-instructional-dvd-set.html
Yeah that would be good mate, if you can bung them all on discs I'll be happy to pay for the CDs and the postage. Cheers.
That's alright. Blank discs are **** all. PM us where to send it to and I'll post it in the next couple days.
I wouldn't follow any instructional DVDs and especially not books. I'd watch the great fighters of the past - roughly, what is your style? Aggressive, defensive, short, tall, strong, weak... Fast? Etc.

he's talking about boxing mastery by mark hatmaker, and yes, it's a VERY good book. i've seen a copy of it in just about every major bookstore i've been too, as well as public libraries.
