Kenny bayless is the best in the business. sometimes you dont even realize hes in there...hes just watching...cirlicng calmly...and when he has to step in he does quickly and yells it...then moves out. best there is right now. weeks and smoger are also very good.
Mills Lane was my alltime favorite:smoke Today i like Tony Weeks, Bayless and Frank Cappuchino.. Cortez and Smoger are acceptable but so-so mediocre.. I hate Jay Nady and Richard Steele..:-(
Bayless and Weeks are both extremely high quality. People also forget about Vic Drakulich, he has a decent run of high profile fights and never gets in the way. Worst on the list is EASILY Mickey Vann. I don't care for Cortez, but atleast it appears that most of his problems are because he wants to be part of the show, where I think it is pretty obvious that Vann is on the take from the highest bidder every time he is in the ring.
i lost all respect for vann in 93 when scored chavez/whitaker 115-115. any ref that keeps a low profile in the ring is fine by me. the worst refs are the ones who get talked about after a fight rather than the fighters
thats because neither fighter was mexican or puerto rican. my favorite was allways mills lane. that man never played favorites, you always knew he was in charge and he never took no guff from any fighter.
