This was probably the best recovery EVER seen in a boxing match considering the circumstances (last round of a 12 rounder, already knocked down once).
He actually didn't truly even beat the count The ref started very late and still fury was getting up at the 10 count then the ref let him walk around the ring twice. That was some very fishy and the only true controversy of this fight
After what he put himself through with mental health etc when he went down i thought that's it...Then he gets up like something from the walking dead and goes on to have Wilder holding on to not hit the canvas...that is something any of us will never see again in a prize fight....That is inspirational for the people with struggles.
YDKSAB. The 10 count isn't like counting to ten and then waving the fight off you clown if the fighter isn't jumping on his opponent LMAO This was a perfect 10 count by the ref who did a great job btw and did right to give Fury a fair chance to come back at that moment. Fury was there after getting up, his legs were looking good, not wobbling and he was immediately reacting to the commands. There was no reason to stop the fight although some shithead refs probably would have stopped it after the KD because they DKSAB. Knock DOWNS are part of the sports. It's boxing.
Maybe you'd have preferred it if they had a doctor call a time out and give him a little break. Seriously, I don't get why people can't just give Fury the credit he deserves and say Wilder's power and experience with Fury will give him a good chance to win a rematch. You think it'd be enough that he just got a gift draw but we have to put up with these joke narratives as well. Next we'll be hearing about how Wilder won the story of the fight.
Agreed. Some idiots think that you start at 1 as soon as a man hits the canvas. Obviously, the moment he hits the canvas is zero. Tyson got up in time, and the count was the standard speed. This was not a long count like in the Mike Tyson vs Buster Douglas fight, when Mike floored Douglas for 12 seconds.
