He stopped Wlad and hit hard enough to stagger Vitali, what could he do against the 1958-1961 version of Sonny Liston?

He's KOed badly. In fact I'm certain he'd be KOed by Wlad of a later point.
As quick as he was he wasn't quicker than Patterson or Ali, and might not have even hit harder than Patterson.

Liston out jabs him easier than he would normally due to the southpaw Vs orthodox match up, there feet might get klustered up (mine often do against orthodoxes). But eventually that jab gets to Corie and starts to break him. Then when Corie throws his right for a hook, jab or even uppercut should have to, Liston would use his own left and get a nice little KO

Lively while it lasts.Corrie had fast hands but was a bit too upright, imo.I think Sonny pulls the trigger on him at some point

Corrie Sanders didn't have a fighters physique like Holyfield or Bruno but he could hit and had speed. I do think Liston prevails here.

Sander's gets a few good shot's in ,that make Liston know he's in with a banger .But Sonny does nt scare easily and gives it back .A entertaining fight that ends with Sanders on his back ,half unconscious .

I have never been a fan of the logic that says "this bum beat this ATG, so he could beat other ATGs."

Sanders record should be enough for you to make him an underdog against any ATG, including a better version of Wlad.

Liston stops him I'm thinking around the 5 th or 6th. Depends how aggressive Sanders decides to be.

Corrie Sanders weighs more and is taller it’s unfathomable that the little Liston could handle him. Liston spent his time Knocking our sub 200 pounders no way he beats a real shw. Sanders in two tops.

It could play out like the Rahman fight, but Liston would be less likely to get knocked down.

Sanders presents his best non-Clay/Ali challenge.

I'll take Sanders. Let's not forget that the version of Corrie that KO'd Wlad is over the hill. A prime Sanders is far more mobile and active. If light-hitting Ali had Sonny in trouble then Sanders will open up a whole new vista of pain for Liston.

Liston by early to mid round ko. Sanders might have his moments like Williams but Sonny would ride them out imo.

I think Sanders is a very tricky opponent for Sonny but he might lack enough pedigree to pull it off 100%. Style wise a counter puncher is Sonnys worst opponent.

However, Resume for Resume Sonny is better hands down. A more dominant fighter. It goes further than simply being a one time danger man. This should give Sonny a slight edge here. But I am open to surprises.

Corrie was over the hill for Wlad? And Sonny wasn't for Ali?
