At a comparable age there was around 7lbs difference between them.
Sanders has 3 inches in height but a much shorter reach,he has the speed advantage ,and I don't know how Sonny would handle the southpaw stance or if he ever faced one?
To address your attempt at humour.
Liston spent his time knocking out ranked heavyweights and fringe contenders.
    Williams 210.25lbs
    Williams 215.5lbs
    Bethea 204lbs
    Valdes 211lbs
    Harris 195lbs
    Folley 198.5lbs
    Machen [dec]196lbs
    Mederos 199lbs
    King 195lbs
    King 204lbs
    King204lbs
And, as an older fighter,[a lot older than the "unnamed" boxer you are trying to draw a comparison to].
    Johnson 200,5lbs
    Lincoln209.5lbs
    Clark215lbs
    Wepner 228lbs
    Zech 226lbs
Eleven of those 16 examples were over 200lbs.

    Probably sooner rather than later.

    This.

Even the best Corrie Sanders was prone to be stopped. Nate Tubbs did it. So did Hasim Rahman.

Sanders had good power (though overstated based off the Wladimir blowout) and very good hand speed but his technique was sloppy, his conditioning suspect (even when in shape) and he wasn't durable. Peak Liston was too well rounded, complete and powerful to see Corrie Sanders pull off an upset here in my view.

I'd be shocked if a peak Liston didn't have him out of there by 5.

Sanders is a live underdog here. I like him big. I think his speed is a big big problem for Liston. And the punch that might do the trick is the under used right hook from Sanders. He really had an excellent one but did not throw it often enough.

And I've said this a million times---nobody ever went further with a bad corner than Liston. He's very fortunate Sanders did not have a Steward in that corner or Sonny's chances are reduced a ton. As it is, I don't like the corner of Liston to prepare him whatsoever for a tall southpaw sharpshooter like this. They can hold the spit bucket.

And the height of Sanders comes into play and Sonny is trying to find his range with the jab early, like he does, and Corrie is firing missiles. Sanders did not bother to throw range finders or set up his jab. I really like the missiles to get the job done within 3 rounds.

What? The jab tends to be difficult to land against the lefty since both of your lead hands are on the same line. Are you walking to the inside of the southpaws stance? Because that is definitely not how most people handle lefties.

Can't see how it would end any differently than his fight with Rahman. Liston was a lot more dangerous than Rahman.

Corie tended to paw with his jab, Liston would just bulldoze past it, that's what I mean as they would be in line with eachother

I'm stunned,,, there are more people picking Sanders than I would have possibly imagined considering his sole accomplishment was ko'ing a china chinned Wlad. Liston destroys him mid rounds.
