    Who is it for you?

    I gotta say, Kenny Bayless and Tony Weeks are my two favorite. Steve Smoger is alright. I loved Frank Capuccino but I haven't seen him in forever.

    Hate Jay Nady and Joe Cortez, they just rub me the wrong way.

    Kenny Bayless. He has been the official in quite a few big fights...

    * Roy Jones – Antonio Tarver I – 2004
    * Bernard Hopkins – Oscar De La Hoya – 2004
    * Manny Pacquiao – Erik Morales II – 2006
    * Shane Mosley – Fernando Vargas – 2006
    * Oscar De La Hoya - Floyd Mayweather, Jr. 2007
    * Manny Pacquiao – Juan Manuel Márquez II – 2008
    * Miguel Cotto – Antonio Margarito – 2008
    * Manny Pacquiao – Ricky Hatton – 2009

    I always wonder why people complain so much about Cortez in the Mayweather v Hatton fight but no one says anything about Bayless in the Hatton v Pac Man bout... if you watch that fight you will see that Bayless actually breaks the action quicker than Cortez..

    Now i dont give a crap... hatton lost to both guys legit as far as im concerned but i just wanna know why there is this double standard

    And Smoger is great... i think Mercante Jr does a decent job as well

    Because in a fight where it was an American grappler against a British boxer, he was extremely lenient towards the grappler.

    Smoger and Bayless are tops...followed by Frank Capuccino and Vic Dragulich.

    I think he is a judge in 'real life'. I like him for the reason I don't like Cortez. Cortez's 'catch phrase' is an indication that he thinks he is a big part of the show. Smoger is annoyed if the fighters make him get involved.

    I like Smoger better than Bayless simply because he stays out of the way better.

    I think the clear top two are Smoger and Bayless. I prefer the former mainly because of his well known disposition towards letting the fighters resolve the issue at hand, be it with regards to holding or knocking the other one out.

    Yep, Smoger isnt gonna be accused of stopping a fight too early. When it matter most in these top tier fights, you gotta let the fighters fight and win in the ring. Nobody likes a ref to get involved when they shouldn't. You taking notes Neuman?

    Smoger. He stays out of the way, he's fair, he doesn't deduct points for BS, and he doesn't stop fights prematurely.

    Although to be fair, Smoger does tend to make his presence known and has some goofy star power to him. If you've ever picked up anything he's said and/or done during rounds, it's always a laugh.

    For instance he was the highlight of Billy Dib vs Steve Luevano.

    Hmmm....Some people will say Jay Nady or Joe Cortez. Cortez's good moments outweigh the bad and his occasional snafus are somewhat overblown. Jay Nady is similar although it seems like the higher level the fight is, the more likely Nady is to **** it up. I don't want to call Nady a choke artist but if the shoe fits...

    I'm actually going to suggest Marlon B. Right. Every fight I've ever seen him in, he's found a way to **** it up.

    With out a shadow of a doubt this man right here.
    The other is Arthur Mercante Jr.

    lol you dislike the same refs I do.

    I hate Nady and he reminds me of Matt Hughes of the MMA, same pucker puss face.
