The most clinical, classiest schooling you've seen from a fighter and why?.

You can mention Domestic performances but mainly top level stuff.

A pure performance of technical quality and skill.

Put some meat on the bone as well, add some vid's and gifs to liven things up :good.

I hate to bring up the obvious , but the one that sticks out straight away for me is Gatti Mayweather , not a single shot missed the target , it was an A* performance , all be it Gatti was shot , but still , this **** was serious !!!!

My favourite fighter just completely dominating the feared Trinidad using skill, intelligence and tactics. A punch perfect performance in my opinion and showed Hopkins to be the epitome of a boxing technician.

The knockout at the end made it even more special.

Id like to add another one please Sir :D

Just thinking about this topic loosely , another fight sprung to mind

Regardless of the significance of the fight (as MAB was on the reverse side of his career by now) this was one of the most technical displays of brilliance i have witnessed during this era , enjoy

 I knew right away when making thread the Mayweather - Gatti fight would be brought up. It was a fine display, offensive masterclass but i'd not say it was finest display of last 12 years due to it being Gatti. Who was a brilliant warrior but he always struggled at elite level. His defensive flaws where there to see but i can see why people rate it high because i sat there clapping the display whilst sitting in bed at 4am . In a way i feel bad enjoying that fight now cos of what happened to Arturo. Good shout though maybe it'll get most votes :good.

Yet Hopkins vs Trinidad, Hopkins dissected him that night in a fantastic display. A good contender for this crown :good.

  6. Mayweather vs Gatti can't be a serious contender. We might as well have Cotto vs Gomez whilst we're at it.

It's got to be Hopkins vs Trinidad, or perhaps Hopkins vs Pavlik - overrated opponent aside of course it was still some display.

My first thought was Floyd-JMM. Weight advantage or not, he boxed a fine fight for his 1st fight back for X months.

Winky v Tito was a total schooling. Winkys jab was one of the best ever.

Gatti is too shite for that performance to be seen as relevant.

Hopkins-Trinidad for me, all the way.

Really? I didn't think too much of the performance at all to be honest, especially considering how limited Ruiz was. Based on that performance, I'd consider Jones Jr to be very smart in avoiding Lennox. He'd have got pummeled.
