If we are talking pure boxing then it is all about hitting while not being hit. The obvious ones are X-Tito, Floyd-Gatti etc but I wonder statistically who is the best. I'm sure Winky is up there but if someone had landed more power punches then I would class them above him.

I may be on my own but I thought toney was class against jirov, bit close but not as close as lederman had it, he never got out of second I thought

I had it much closer than most actually, but I agree, one of Toney's best ever showings taking context into account. Love it.

Oh yeah it was close but I felt that if toney really wanted he could have stepped up and made it clear. And it just showed that if you stay calm and stick to classic boxing you will dig out a win, even against a good fighter bringing pressure

^ deserves a mention (bar the 10th round)

Really good performance by Chad, he starts behind the jab & works well to the body. As he relaxes & grows in confidence he starts landing combinations. By the 4/5rd he's landing uppercuts & a round later Chad is teeing off with lead left hands.

Good shout, there's actually been a lot of good fights for a weakish era

Domestically I would have to say Martin Power vs Ian Napa 2. Napa was brilliant that night.

Recently I was extremely impressed with Anselmo Moreno. He looked exceptional beating Vic Darchinyan. He reminded me of a poor mans Pernell Whitaker.

Awesome display. I rate someone who is actually fighting or trying to hurt their opponent much higher than someone who has pre set their mind to going the full 12 no matter what.

You are right, Lederman had it too close. The ending showed it was going to be James night all along.
