Juse actually agrees with this post, not the 1.5 million bs, that is neither hear nor there, what if it does 1.45 does that make this topic less valid. The overall point is that the first fight gave Floyd haters hope....there are enough soundbites and clips of Marcos landing and throwing a lot to put together a great commercial and promotion to sell this fight.....

2 million plus people have paid to see Floyd fight at one point in time for only 865K to see it last time it means they didn't get the word out as much. Now in hindsight Juse was not aware there was no press tour last time out and now that makes sense....

They didn't put as much money into the first promotion because Marcos was an unproven fighter on the national level. No need to spend foolishly on a ppv where only one fighters name carries weight. The results of such actions result in lack of income generated. So hopefully the accountants handled that correctly in putting together a budget for that event.

But rematches are easy to promote if you have footage to make it look like it's an even fight...

Both fighters do have a right to decide if they would like a do over in order to put up a better fight. I'm sure if Floyd could do it over he would have chosen to use the ring a little more...

I never bet sports. but I have $400 that says this will never happen.

If there is an independent verifier to tabulate the #'s, I take this bet every day. Unfortunately Espinoza says he won't release #'s unless it's a record, so unless it does 2.2 million plus we have no way of knowing.

Lol I have no idea about the business end of boxing but I KNOW this is BS. Are you kidding? Everyone knows Mayweather is gonna win easy and there isn't even a compelling undercard.

A week out, it might be wise to modify that prediction. I haven't noticed any palpable buzz for this fight. The people I know that usually only watch buy the biggest fights aren't buying the PPV. Everybody expects Mayweather to win and likely be an even bigger margin than in their 1st fight.

With Floyd, it's the same shtick on All-Access. Maidana doesn't have much personality, leaving it up to Garcia to sell this fight.

Anything over a million would be surprising to me. I'm thinking it might even be 800,000 judging by how all the other PPV's have been struggling to reach goals.

It wont even do half that with no undercard and maidana not being able to use his puncher's gloves taking his only advantage away. and everyone knows maidana will never get a decision in vegas the outcome is so obvious.
