Yeah thats all I was thinking mate.

I guess deep down Joe would love to have the money that Ricky had and there was also loads and loads of rumours of him being pretty envious of the support and superstardom that Ricky/Naz achieved.

 

tony sr and anthony mundine are still working together successfully although they had past issues, the calzaghes had the best relationship in terms of boxing success and closeness.

I think it comes down to two types of relationships you got the roy sr and floyd sr style of putting the success of boxing before their personal relationship with their child and then you have the lasting working relationships like the manfredo's and calzaghes.

Its not just romours his jealosuy was self evident.

I remeber him during a interview years ago with Ian Darke

And Ian Darke said : "Is that your Mercedes Joe"

And Joe said very bitterly : " Yeah - but I should be a Ferrari"

Ian Darke said: " You seem quite bitter Joe"

Joe said : "No not bitter at all - just feel I should be earning the big money now"

He just got jealous cos he was a World Champ but he couldnt afford the cars that Naz and Lennox Lewis had atsch
