I thought this was a good website for rankings:

Good site. I would still put Fedor above GSP. I love GSP but it may just be me that his strength of schedule argument is a bit over emphasized. If you go to the next level of anaysis, "how He won", He wasnt all that impressive at least since the Serra victory.

IMO, his toughest opposition was Condit since the Serra loss. None of his opponents has been dominant and has proved to be a cut below the top tier.

Case in sample is BJ Penn. When He lost to Hughes the 2nd fight, He still managed to be near unbeatable for a couple of years. I can say that Hendo has been terrific overall since that Silva loss, Belfort is still kicking ass and putting asses on seats for the UFC.

I agree, it's not the final determinant but I still think its a good and a very objective way to look at things. I consider dismantling an outmatched opposition a virtue when it comes to legacy. When you're playing safe with clearly outmatched opponents or simply squeak by with a win it's detrimental to your "dominance" standing. Something like that, as you said, will not be reflected in this ranking system.

On the other hand I can see how it might be difficult to bring in quality of a win into this chess ranking system. Would be interesting to see something like that implemented though.

Also, show me a GSP fight (post Serra) where He won in the same manner Fedor mugged Sylvia and Arlovski. Note that those two were fighting for Heavyweight supremacy in the UFC just a year before.

I think its safe to say that Arlovski and Sylvia are on Fitch and Koschecks level at that time. Matter of fact the former two were champs.

Jon Fitch and Josh Koscheck have showed unreal consistency in a ****ing stacked division for years.

Sylvia and Arlovski jerked each other off on top of the poorest excuse for a ****ing professional fighting division, ever.

Oh come on, everyone knows the best opposition was in Pride, and who cares what you think, the World knows:deal that Fedor got released from Strikeforce

For me, it's not only about who you beat, but who you are. We can't hold it against Ronda Rousey for there not being "better opposition" in Women's MMA. Now that's ignorant, don't you understand that athletes in every Sport are ranked accordingly? :patsch. The men I have at #s 6 and 7 aren't undefeated, winning all their fights in that opening round.... Ne5, I can rank however the # I want, and it shouldn't be as big of a deal to you.

Cyborg is a top fighter, but she's doesn't automatically reclaim that #1 spot..... She lost it! She lost the privilege to compete on the World Stage because she is a cheat.

I don't recall, but so what if Anderson Silva beat a man with over 10 times the limit of testosterone? Good on him! Just goes to show that his toughest night was against a man that was doped the # up.

    Talk about contradicting yourself :patsch

Again, show me where I EXACTLY contradicted myself. This BOLD statement contains no contradiction.

"Also, every single idiot that claims Fedor isn't in the talks of being GOAT, hasn't been watching Pride. FACT. UFC division is as intimidating today as Pride HW division was back in the day"

I can make an educated guess as to what you're talking about with your quotations but I want you to show it to me so I can rub your face in the fact that I'm not contradicting myself at any point in this conversation.

You two just gotta whole lot of bull**** going on. Talk about beating Arlovski like it was something special (went on to lose his next three fights and never amounted to **** beyond that) then act like Werdum tapping Fedor didn't mean anything since he was "over the hill".... Don't you realize that the two fights when down in 09' and 10'? A year apart! I try to keep it cool, I try to be the matador, but feel like DLH against a Fernando Vargas.

Sometimes, you just gotta throw chingasos.

Yeah stacked with semi gatekeepers. ****ing Maia is terrorizing that division now. Hendricks wasnt around then and I have the feeling He might put GSP to sleep in a round.

You're right. I have been lowering myself to your level. I've even asked you if you were pretending, you're clearly not. As confirmed by your post. The great lesson prevails yet again:
"If you argue with an idiot, they will bring you down to their level and beat you with experience."

I hope I've escaped in time. :hi:

Are you just dumb ? Or you don't get the point ? You are saying that AS fought the best...but he didn't had the chance to get there in PRIDE, he was cut...

Even though I know you don't see it like it, at least I'm glad you are honest enough to admit you a completly biased with you crush on RR...

To my knowledge, nobody in the history of a combat sport has been dumb enough to try to mix P4P ranking between woman and man....You are the only person on this board clueless enough to do that

You can and that's why I said don't get offended if people are calling you out on that ****, wich I'm doing now. Rank her #1 for all I care, you are ****in stupid for doing it in the first place...I'm not the one ridiculing myself, you are.

No, because Cyborg can ****in beat GSP for 5 round and you will still put RR before her....YOU ARE BIASED

    Again missing the point....

I'm sorry man but arguing with you is a total waste of time....

Just go dig up your previous post, like I said in page 3 of this thread I don't have time to waste going trough all the thread and post we have been arguing about.

Double standard king...or Queen, since there is already a double standard king posting in the MMa section....

    :lol::lol:

AA was on a 2 fight winning streak when he fought Fedor...IN THE UFC(The winning streak, not the fight with Fedor, I just want to be sure you understand that)....I mean are you really that ****in dumb ?

Who said is was nothing losing to Werdum ? But it's a lot less shameful to lose to Werdum then to lose via Flying heel hook against Chonan....:good

You keep forgeting AS lost fight too....against alot less stellar opposition then Fedor....

And just BTW....Don't even try to say that Fedor lost to a LHW when there was 16 pound between the 2....don't even ****in dare to say that !!!
