While boxing is a respected art by most mma practitioners, and is an important part of a lot of mma practitioners training programs; it is however, the least important part. People begin learning boxing technique once they've gotten a grasp on the more effective fighting arts.

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioners have had success with BJJ alone, some of which were no where near a world class level.

Wrestlers have had success with wrestling alone, some which were not on a world class level.

Boxers have done nothing but get there asses kicked in mma, world class or not.

Thai Boxers have had success after learning how to grapple, but the bottom line is grappling is the most important part of mma. Boxing is deficient in this area by design. Clinching is illegal! The best boxer in the world stands a slightly better chance in mma than the world's best Wack a Mole champion.

The Klits, which is a hilarious short form of their names, would more than get rubbed the wrong way in mma. They would get ****ed hard, eatin up, and raped. They would be lucky to make it past 1 round with Royce Gracie. I'm talking about today's version of Royce, let alone the one that helped start a fighting art revolution almost 20 years ago.

I think that vitali can make a somewhat good transfer over too mma due to his kickboxing background, 6 time worldchampion in kickboxing, has an iron chin and punches like a mother****er.
If he got a good takedown defence he would even be better than overeem

 

I was agreeing with you Hamza until I realized you were writing in present tense, Vitali is 40 now, if he kept on going in kickboxing from his early 20s then he would be amongst the best in the world for sure

 

Sure there is some rust in the gears but as soon as he gets them going again he should be able to get back.
His chin i would rank it with prime Hunt chin if not better.

Mike tyson in my opinion as mike was not a human being he was a MONSTER! If he could knock out people in the boxing ring with ease put some 4oz gloves on mike and teach him some takedown defense and he would rip apart any fighter.
