Yep H2H is where Pac loses. He's simply too flawed IMO to beat some of these upper echelon ATGs.

I would have voted for Hearns had he been on the list. Why would Floyd be on this list and not Hearns? Tommy beat Cuevas,Benitez,Duran and Hill and fought Hagler and Leonard on top of that. He deserved the win over Ray. Jones and Chavez never had the wins over greats to be on this list. I see why you put them on since they were the tops in the 1990's, but they were not greater than Hearns, so Tommy should have been on this list.

I agree Hearns was greater than them but I tried to have a few from each era & unfortunately Tommy came from the strongest era & was bested by both of my choosen 80s men in a prime v prime match & as great as he performed in both those fights he still lost by TKO14 & TKO3 respectively.

Eh...he didn't look that great against SRL. But check out some of MMH's earlier fights...I think his versatility was awesome :good Great boxer, brawler when he had to be, could fight inside and out, southpaw/orthodox, piston-jab...etc...

People always seem to forget that Sasakul was a slick fighter who was faster than Pacquiao and Pac knocked him out to win his 1st lineal title.

You cant go wrong with Leonard at the top, arguably the most complete fighter ever filmed.

Except for Pacquiao according to some nutcases :rofl

i may like jones better, may think he's more talented, even (God forbid) rank him higher than leonard but that statement is bang on

leonard, at his best, is the most complete fighter i've seen save ricardo lopez and ray robinson

Leonard has to be considered a good margin above everyone else... The rest on the list get very close spots with probably Hagler, Whittaker and Pacquiao pretty close...

If Whittaker would have had another elite fighter in his prime besides Chavez he could have probably closed that gap..

Pryor deserves more of the blame for the fight not happening, not Leonard.

Pryor is the one who turned down the fight, and a career-high payday.

It's a fact that Pryor said after beating Blackmoore that he was offered half a million to fight Leonard but rejected it because he wanted more money, when he had been paid a career high of about 40-50 thousand to fight Cervantes a few months before that.

It's also a fact that Legendary Nights polluted the minds of boxing fans with myths like "Leonard ducked Pryor" and show a press conference of this "fact" (because fights are made in press conferences and interviews, not with contracts, lawyers, and signatures)

Smart move, if a past prime (tho still very good it must be said) Arguello, who was at his own peak 3 yrs earlier at 130 lbs, can take Pryor at 140 lbs to the limit as well as the 14th round then you can bet your ass Pryor aint hearing the final bell vs peak 147 lb Leonard.
Ray would beat Pryor in every department of boxing before breaking him down & stopping him in 13 rds or less.

what many will point to is leonard's discomfort in close with duran and his raging ferocity won him the fight

however, leonard fought that fight once, lost and wouldn't do it again. i don't see him knocking pryor out...but sure as hell knocking him down. maybe more than once

leonard would time him at distance, out muscle him up close, and outbox him to a wide decision with maybe 4 rounds of discomfort
