The best fighter to come from a middle-class background?

    I don't think Larry Holmes was middle class. I just watched his beyond the glory last week (on youtube).

    Chiquita Gonzalez was upper middle class,his father owned a chain of Butcher shops.

    ali once said he was black middle class ,which was a long way from white middle class.
    ruben olivares and freddie welsh supposedly came from middleclass backgrounds

    :good:goodto a few on here you'd think knowing who one of your parents is and eating at least once a day is enough to be labelled middle class.

    I remember back in the 80s forum boxing promoted Prince mama mohamad a light heavyweight contender who was supposedly some kind of Royalty back in his home country of Ghana.

    Yey he acts like he comes from the roughest Ghetto in Detroit and sometimes is announced as being from Detroit.
    But i know he is from an upper middle class suburb of Ann Arbor,MI:lol: If he was a rapper hed be a studio gangsta:lol: :lol: But i wouldnt tell him that to his face:D

    Poverty refers to the condition of not having the means to afford [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Basic_needs"][/ame]basic human needs such as [ame="http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clean_water"][/ame]clean water, nutrition, health care, clothing and shelter.

    Freddie Welsh came from a well-to-do background. But just loved to fight and went to America to learn his trade.

    I know someone who was good friends with Leonard and said he did not come from a poor background, both parents worked and he had his own home in MD. After he won the Gold Medal, there was sickness in his family and the bills were pilling up and thats when he turned pro and became a millionaire


    It is known Ali came from a nice area Louisville Kentucky, and Louisville is not known to be a getto and Ali's parents owned a home. If you have other facts post them
