I actually think style wise Lomachenko would be a bad style match up for Alexis Aruello. Arguello had trouble vs Ramirez and was outboxed by Fernandez, I think Lomachenko's footwork and skills would be a massive problem for Arguello.

Although Arguello has power that Lomachenko has never seen before, and Arguello can turn a fight around in an instant.

If it's a 12 rounder I would be more confident in picking Loma but in a 15 rounder ? Not so much.

Not sure if he beats him, but Loma doesn't and never will fight him like Vilomar Fernandez. Loma boxes but he is pressure fighter, he doesn't fight on the backfoot that much. Arguello and Fernandez was still a close fight.

Jorge Linares or Devin Haney is prob the best he can do. He’s not ****ing with a Tank or Teo level dude. @The Real Lance

Arguello is probably the answer. Struggled with boxers.

Don't see Loma doing anything with 130-135 Floyd or Chavez.

Might be unpopular, but I think Loma @ 135 beats MAB @ 135. Main reason being, I think peak MAB was at 122/126. I could envision Loma's movement frustrating Barrera, who had a temper of his own. And simply was not the same guy at LW.

Do you mean 130? MAB didn't seriously campaign as a Lightweight.

Good catch. He had what, just one or two at 135 IIRC? Just was not his weight. I think at 130, would be a tough fight still for MAB, and would lean towards Loma (60-40) who still had his movement and unorthodox angles to his advantage. One of the few Loma would have the slight size advantage on.

I'm not big on Loma, but he could beat an aging MAB at 130. I could see that definitely.

    Could beat?

I mean, one sec, these are my SFW ATGs:

    Alexis Arguello
    Floyd Mayweather
    Manny Pacquiao
    Azumah Nelson
    Kid Chocolate
    Sandy Saddler
    Flash Elorde
    Julio Cesar Chavez
    Marco Antonio Barrera
    Erik Morales
    Juan Manuel Marquez

That two year run in 2016 and 2017 when No Mas was ruling the SFW division, it would take something special to end that run.

I'm not for one second saying Loma endures a gauntlet of these greats, but replace Marriaga with anyone on this list and Loma could win.

I wouldn't favour him over them all, but he certainly could do it.

The best I'd favour him over, probably Nelson.

I don't favour him against Chavez, Floyd, Arguello, Pacman, Saddler,

I do favour him over Nelson, Elorde, Chocolate, MAB, EM and JMM.

He was mint as a SFW.

The best version of Loma from a few years ago could beat just about anyone at FW and SFW.

IIRC JMM had big power at 130. A volume punching come forward fighter like Loma seems tailor made for Marquez's counterpunching style. Marquez had slow feet, so he could be bamboozled, but I don't put that much stock in Loma's chin.

Secondly, why Nelson? He was strong, aggressive and could hold his own very well against good boxers.
