Yeah, Quarry back in the late 60's to about '72 was compact but relatively lean compared to his build from then on out..and he was a better fighter before he filled out..he got a bit too husky for his own good and wasn't as fast and devious a counterpuncher.
He's got a better physique than most contenders from the 80's. He's got the look of functional strength, not gym strength. At 225, and not flabby, he's a big dude by almost every era's standards.
