Cracking avatar you've got there Al ;)

This isn't aimed at anybody in particular, but I struggle to grasp the thought process of anybody who picks Pacquaio with real conviction to defeat either Arguello at super feather to lightweight, or Chavez at super feather to light welter. I'm not arrogant enough to rule him out or insist that he get's the **** walloped out of him without offering anything in return, but how anybody could make him the favourite is a bit baffling. To me anyway. Taylor and Pryor are often recruited as circumstantial evidence at this point even though Pacquiao resembles neither of them in any way that isn't superficial as far as I can tell. If crude, vague parallels are to be drawn, I'd say that the Marquez who pushed Pacquiao to (and very nearly beyond) the capacity of his powers is as close as Pacquiao has ever been to encountering the prime forces of Chavez and Arguello. And as much as I love JMM, he isn't either of the aforementioned brace by a long way.
