This is kinda funny. Here is Juliana Pena before he/she went the Caitlin Jenner route talking about Edson. This content is protected
That was complete garbage during their street fight. By reliable accounts Edson wins the fight but that is not enough he then drags Ismail out into the street where he beats him into intensive care. Yet nothing got done to him. Guy should have done time for that. I was so glad when I heard what Igor did to him.
Hahahahahaha..... Julianan Pena! She looked pretty good back then her voice was not as deep and she had less facial hair.
Lol! It’s so weird looking at past great athletes like Jenner and Kerr and what they’ve wilted themselves down to.
Taisuke Okuno Pretty mediocre fighter in most aspects of the sport except for SAVAGE knockout power. His KOs of Nick Thompson and Ryo Chonan are some of the most brutal I've ever seen. Thompson was out cold for several minutes and had to be stretchered out of the ring.
José Landi-Jons notable wins: Matt hughes,Pat Miletich , Cyborg Santos, and had a epic bare knuckle 30 minute fight with Chuck Liddell. This content is protected
Kerr was such a scary man, a legit specimen. There's a pic of him after a fight with his fist together... My god, the scariest man on earth at the time. BY FAR. I've always maintained that a prime Kerr would beat a prime Fedor. Kerr was a f*cking monster on the mat.
It’s possible because Kerr was so well schooled on the mat. He was better on the mat than guys like Coleman or Randleman. I mean he beat Sperry in ADCC! But I’d give the edge to prime Fedor. That guy was just plain nasty and insanely fast for a HW. He was like an Igor 2.0.
Murilo Bustamante is a name we should hear more often. He was a dangerous submission artist with hands, before BJ Penn. Bustamante did not have concussive power but he knew how to punch. Very close/disputed decision losses to Liddell, Rampage and Dan Henderson may have given a different historical view had they gone in Bustamante's favor. This guy was ahead of his time and it is sad that I don't see him remembered.
It was remarkable how resistant to new training/learning guys like Coleman and Randleman were. The sport literally evolved around them and they became obsolete as they pounded away on each other in the confines of that hammer house gym that produced nobody other than them. The were both such egomaniacs that putting themselves in a beta role within new environments were their game would evolve was just unthinkable to them. Roiding up and beating on the same meatheads over and over was their comfort zone and they never left it for love or money.
Very true. Ol’ Ken Shamrock may have put a bad taste in Coleman’s mouth. Lol! I heard he head kicked Mark the **** out during a spar once. That might have been where Coleman’s hesitance on training outside of The Hammer House stemmed from. Lol
You think that would be a wake up call to make changes but then again Coleman seemed pretty stubborn if not stupid.
