I try to make a ranking here, for this time frame:

    1. Luan Krasniqi
    2. Edmund Gerber
    3. Renè Monse
    4. Steffen Kretschmar
    5. Egon Roth
    6. Rene Dettweiler
    7. Timo Hoffmann
    8. Stefan Köber
    9. Cegiz Koc
    10. Konstantin Airich

There can be listed Andreas Sidon, Dieter Roth and Marcel Zeller among others too.

Because I view it so. Pianeta could be also in it, but rather in the last one. But I forgot Gbenga Oloukun (who won against Brewster and got jobbed vs. Kabayal or Teper) and Balu Saur.
Though few were from Romania or Russia orginal (the Roth brothers, Onofrei, Ciocan "Hammer", Airich and maybe Schwarz) and Krasniqi from Kosovo. Or from the current Tepper from Turkey (not sure if Kabayal is official German).

    No but you most likely!!

When fought Abraham and Sturm in Heavyweight, out of curiosity?
And Arslan wouldn't be in a pound for pound top 10...

Schulz fought in November 2006 against Minto...
No Pianeta is German, he is from Gelsenkirchen. Or do you regard Calzaghe and Maccarinelli as Italian?
No Hofmann was way too limited, if he didn't win by his size against Koc, I would have whom ahead.
Monse only lost against Krasniqi on points and knocked him down. Gerber was also more skillful, I think he won against Sprott. Roth dominated all his opponents and knocked most out. Kretschmar only lost vs. Bakhtov (leading in the rematch), he is possible the most skillful one next to Krasniqi, but his psyche was in the was and he got burned out by Öner (Sat1).
Actual was even Köber more promissing, as I think he was millitary world champion, at least participant in the Olympic Games where he went out unlucky (against one of the favourites, not sure if Camarelle, Dychko or Savon).

Schulz was pretty much shot by the 2000's. In the 90's he was one of the best heavyweights and was criminally underrated. He got robbed against Foreman and arguably beat Michael Moorer. Great movement for a big man and he had an excellent right hand. The guy should have been heavyweight champion of the world. He beat Foreman clearly in my opinion.

I can think of few topics further out of my wheelhouse... Perhaps German flyweights from the 1960's.

He retired in September 1999, had after that just one comeback...

He was in my view onpy robbed vs. Botha (but this twice, in one figh). Moorer was a level above him and I had Foreman winning.

Well that is interesting, but who about the May brothers? Though the younger one was too protected and not world class (the older burned out vs. Washington), but them are both from Saxony (Glauchau).

Interesting are also the Trabant brothers; Michel was a good contender and with 16 the youngest professional boxer. Stephan was rather at journeyman level.

The Abraham and Murat brother can be mentioned too.

I think the Rocchigiani bros were better than all those mentioned.
    Plus better stories.
