I feel like Derek Chisora has got to be up there.

 

James J Braddock is a contender for this honor.

 

Jimmy Young doesn't have the greatest record but he has wins over prime Foreman and Lyle.

Ross Purittys record looks terrible compared to guys he drew with (Morrison) or beat (Wlad, Joe Hipp, JLG)

 

Evander Holyfield is 44-10 his Heavyweight record was 26-10 I think that's quite a modest record for a top 10 ATG Heavyweight. Although Holyfield did fight alot of tough opposition and most of his losses occurred when he was way past his prime.

 

Jim Barry is the best sub .500 HW because he thought fighting Sam Langford 12 times was a good idea.

 

These losses came as the result of him being fed title shots. They came with a benefit most fighters do not get so he should get the blame with going .500ish in those. This is only fair.

Johnny Risko had an ordinary record of 67-46-6 along with 21 no decisions. Yet, he beat Jack Sharkey, Max Baer, Tommy Loughran, Jack Delaney, Paul Berlanbach, Mickey Walker, Bob Olin, Ernie Schaaf, Paulino Uzcudun and Tony Galento.

 

That's a good resume of wins for a guy who lost 46 fights,,,,good call.
